CHAPTER 103: AN EAVESDROPPER

Naya's POV

I was surprised as Talon rattled off the precautions we needed to take to ensure my safety. He had clearly done his research and knew exactly what to do to protect me and our unborn child.

But despite his efforts, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was burdening him. I honestly wanted to know how he got so good in the precautionary methods he was taking, but I didn’t know how I was going to ask him.

I felt that it would steer up some sort of argument. I didn’t want to get into any fights with Talon. I just wanted us to live in peace and harmony. I liked how things had been moving smoothly with Talon and I.

I saw the niceness in him that I had never seen before. And, I wasn’t willing to take him for granted, especially after what he had done for me. I didn’t want to feel too entitled even if I was carrying his child.

So, I sat him down and told him everything. How I felt like a weight on his shoulders, how I didn't want to hold him back.
