The irony in his voice was unmistakable.
Caleb had the gall to look stunned while I pressed my lips together to keep from laughing.
Adam looked disgruntled, but then I knew he was faking it.
When he thought that he let Caleb stew enough, he nodded his assent, allowing us to go.
“Don’t be out too late, and please, do not attempt to add more kids if you are not serious with my sister.”
