Chapter Thirteen

She handed the papers to him and he scribbled his signature on it. And after he was done. He got up and headed out leaving Evelyn behind.

He was angry. He was hurt. But then, he turned back, and when he returned to her, he dragged her up and looked into her eyes.

"Don't contact me after today. I will see you at the altar in a week. Good day Ms Carter". And he left.

Evelyn was shocked at his outburst. She thought they both wanted the same thing. She didn't want to look as if she was happy to be his wife. However, she was jealous that he slept with other women while he turned her down. She never thought he would be this mad.

She wondered if he was jealous. Or perhaps he was only acting. But she was not going to back down. Not now, maybe in the future.because one thing is for sure. She was not ready to have kids.
