Chapter Twelve

It's been seven days since the engagement and Alexander has not been himself. He had travelled out of Richbouph for business and just got back. He hasn't been in contact with Evelyn since then. He thought to give her some time to come around.

Alexander liked Evelyn from the very first time he set his eyes on her. Although it was supposed to be a one-night thing. Even at that, he couldn't deny that he felt something for her. Now that they are engaged. He would not back down.

He knew the game Evelyn was trying to play with him. And he was very well prepared to play her game with her.

He had called her so they could meet. Now, he is waiting for her at a restaurant where they agreed to meet. He made sure to book the restaurant for the whole day just for the two of them.

Shortly after, she arrived. A hostess ushered her in and led her to Alex. She was carrying a black handbag and another folder in her other hand.
