~FIA~

Just like that, I broke up with my husband and was remarried.

"Thank you for not letting me get embarrassed in such a way," I said to my new husband, shifting uncomfortably under his gaze.

Everything was happening so fast.

"Sign this." Mr Barrett said in a low voice.

"A marriage license and a contract?" I whispered, staring at the papers before me.

"Why should I sign this?"

"You're now my wife and also a debtor," he said with a straight face, making me shift in my seat.

"But we didn't mean it, I mean, I thought you stood up to save me from the embarrassment." I hurriedly said, confusion hitting me as he scoffed.

"Look, we aren't friends. I don't know you, so why would I try to save you from embarrassment?"

"I did it because of the money involved and because I wanted a wife," he said, as my eyes widened in shock.

"How do you expect me to have such an amount? I was clearly bluffing," I stated, removing my gaze from him as I stared out the window.

"I wouldn't mind taking your company then." A smirk played on his lips while he spoke.

"You won't do that," I snapped. What a jerk.

"You should think before you make certain promises. Fia." I was silent, no one had pronounced my name the way he did. I didn't realize when a blush crept up my face.

I went through the documents.

"Your company is a rival to my dad's? I can't work with you." I blurted immediately.

"You'll do whatever I tell you to do, wife, and you can never run away from me, don't even think of it." His voice was cool, but I knew I dare not mess with him.

"Before next week, the 50 million dollars will be transferred to your account," I spat, my voice trembling with rage.

"I can't be your wife." I reached for the car door handle, but it wouldn't budge. Child lock mode. I panicked.

"Let me out!" I demanded, but he gave me a soft smile and whispered in my ears. His voice alone was setting my body on fire–oh God, I don't want this.

"Sign the documents, wife; you are mine now." If signing the documents would make him let me go, I decided to do it. I have my plans already.

"We won't be in any sexual relationship during the two years of this marriage," I stated and his smile widened.

"Depends on my mood." With that, his gaze returned to his wristwatch.

"You have fourteen hours to provide the money and move in with me. Then, I will be lenient with you, or you will remain a debtor forever." With that statement, the car's lock clicked open. I took a deep breath and handed the marriage documents to him, but he didn't even glance at me.

I alighted the vehicle, and he sped off without saying a word to me.

I stood for a minute, desperately wishing he would be involved in an accident.

"I didn't beg you to get married to me asshole." I cussed, knowing I was in some deep problem.

I stood before what I used to call home. Louis family's house.

Summoning boldness, I walked in. The servants greeted me like they were oblivious of what had happened. Deep down, I knew they were glad I was gone.

"Welcome ma."

"I'm just here for my bags." They nodded like I had cleared their thoughts.

On getting to the foyer, I found my luggage sitting perfectly waiting for me. I scoffed, looking around.

These aren't all my things.

I tried getting into my room from the side stairs, but it seemed my fingerprint was taken off the biometric scanner.

"If I were you, I'd leave without causing a scene," my mum's voice sounded behind me. What was she doing here?

"A scene? I already caused one earlier; I wouldn't mind another one."

"You're an ingrate. I will make your life on earth unbearable," She threatened as I grabbed the only luggage present.

"Don't bother. I'm leaving." But she didn't stop.

"I've always hated you, you're a pretender and a flirt. Do you think I didn't know you were having sex with my husband? A man you called father." She accused.

"What? I would never," I said in defense of myself. Why would she say so? They hurt me in the first place, and she's trying to pin it on me.

"Then how would you explain this?" she threw some pictures at me.

"And you dare raise a finger at your ex-husband? Calling him an infidel?" The pictures dropped from my hands.

"This is Photoshopped." I refused to believe what I saw, though it seemed too real.

It was Dad and I in intimate positions.

"Just to be justified, you did this? Edited images? Well, I'm not here to banter words with you."

"You both can have Louis to yourselves, it's over."

"It took you a lot of time to say this," Mama scoffed.

On the inside I was shaking, my mind was in turmoil, I wanted to beg.

I have loved Louis for five years before dad introduced him to me, but he will always tell me that I didn't have a place in his heart. I didn't mind because I had thought he would eventually fall for me if I was the perfect wife.

I went as far as taking a bullet for him, but here I am today, betrayed by everyone. Three years with an unfruitful partner.

Begging wasn't an option. I've gone too far for that, I'm already remarried, his image is soiled and we can't stand each other.

"I need my car keys." Louis and Ary were already outside the building glaring at me. If they could bury me alive right here, they would.

Louis scoffed, "You don't have anything, Fia. Remember the prenup? Everything belongs to me."

"I don't want to see you in this life or next. If I do, you won't live to see another day." His voice was cold, tears burnt my face.

"I would have loved you to be a nanny to my child, but I'm afraid my fiancé doesn't want you around us, and you might kill it just like you killed the ones in your womb." Ary mocked with her tiny voice.

I scoffed, she was too little to banter words with me, despite being a year older than her, she reasoned like a child, making me wonder how she would raise her home. Well, she had mum.

Without giving them a response, I pulled out my phone to book an Uber but discovered all my accounts were suspended.

I turned to them.

"Why are you doing this to me?"

"Leave before the security throws you out." Louis now had a menacing look on his face with Ary hands draped over his arms, her head resting on his shoulders.

"I've not thrown you out because you were once family."

I almost regretted my actions. I should have silently acted like I hadn't seen them in bed, now I was in huge debt and a wife to some strange man.

What was I thinking when I made such a promise? I cried in my heart when I heard Mama's cruel voice.

"I don't want to see your foot in BLUE'S FASHION house, it belongs to Ary now."

Once I was out, I fell to my knees with heavy sobs, leaving me. I loved Louis, I didn't think I would pull through this, everything had been taken from me in a day.

"Velvet villas," I said to the cab driver. My girlfriend's number wasn't reachable, so I had to crash in a hotel.

Soon, I arrived at the hotel and headed to the clubhouse, prepared to have fun all night before thinking of my next move.

The music blared so loud that I had a headache, but I didn't care, I just wanted to drink away my life.

I was on my eight bottle and beckoned the waiter to get me the ninth one. He hurried to get it when my eyes landed on the pole in the middle of the room.

With shaky legs, I made my way to the center of the room and began moving to the beats as the crowd cheers fueled me.

I was tipsy and felt like a professional dancer as I continued dancing and shaking the life out of me, when a hand suddenly pulled me, taking me to the washingroom.

"What do you think you're doing? The man whose voice sounded awfully familiar asked, as I realized he was also as tipsy as I was. I belched, flipping my hair.

"What a caring gigolo," I said, rubbing my hands on his skin, I belched again.

"Gigolo? You were embarrassing yourself out there." He continued speaking, but I shut him up.

"Shhhhh," I said pressing my fingers to my lips. Then I leaned in and landed my lips on his, slowly sucking on both his lower and upper lips.

As we removed our mouths to catch our breath, I turned to him and whispered.

"Fuck me like you're sex-starved."
