Jace enters my apartment with a huge grin on his face. His text from last night has been keeping me very impatient for his arrival. I am compelled to steal a glance at the clock on the wall. It is exactly nine. He is right on time, and that makes me even more anxious about what he could be up to.
"You are on time," I say as I close the door with fumbling fingers.
"For what I have in mind, I couldn't waste any second delaying," he narrows his eyes at me. My muscles tense in excitement. He engulfs me in his arms and presses me to the door.
"Are you going to give me a sneak peek about what it is about?" I inquire from him. He chuckles lightly and his face goes dead seriously.
