Amy
My body aches everywhere and my eyelids are heavy. I can't even open them and bring myself to see anything. I can hear footsteps, probably people are walking past me or ...with me? Wait a minute? Where am? A sound of a car door closing comes from behind me. Was I in a car? Driving with who?
A faint memory of a huge bald man pushing his way into my apartment appears in my mind and immediately open my eyes. The first thing I see is a bushy stubble beard and a long dirty blond hair. Who is this man? Arms are wrapped around my body, like I am being carried.
Get off me! I want to scream but I can't bring my mouth to open. I can't lift my hands to push him away and neither can I kick my legs. I feel numb. What happened to me?
Green evil eyes meet mine.
"She is awake," he announces, and I look around to see who he could be talking to.
"She is?" a stronger voice that I recognize sounds from behind him. I look behind and see the bald hulk w
JaceEveryone is in the living room pacing about, even the heavily pregnant Alexa. There is no one settled at the moment. Amy has been gone for more than five ours, and my wolf has been very patient not to burst out and attack the Redclaw pack territory. I also want to run out of here but it would be equally useless to make an entrance without a clear plan."Damn it!" I curse under my breath."Calm down, Jace. We all know what you are going through right now. No wolf would settle down when their mate is in danger," Jordan says while patting on my shoulder. I am trying to calm down but it is very hard."Amy has been gone for hours now, and you expect me to calm down!" I don't want to shout but I can't help it. I know it is not their fault and they are trying very hard to help."I am so sorry. I am just worried about Amy. I have no idea how she is or if Dwayne has hurt her," I say while running my hands through my hair and tugging at the roots.
AmyThe room that I have been locked up in is so strange. It has no windows, I think it is in the middle of the house. It is so freaking cold and the bed in the centre of the small room has no bedspreads. I know I am in no position to judge a small room because my bedroom is no bigger, but I feel suffocated in here. The men who brought me in here just dumped me on the bed and walked out. There never gave me a warning to not make any sounds. Maybe because they knew it was useless. When I heard them lock the door on their way out, I hurriedly got off the bed and tried opening the door. They had to make sure I didn't escape. I hit the door and screamed for someone to help me but it was all in vain. I gave up after some good time of shouting and hitting the door. I think the room is sound proof so nobody even heard me.Now my throat feels sore and my hands are paining because of hitting them on the door too hard. I sit leaning against the door and facing the
JaceI am face to face with the most hated individual of my life. The nightmare I have always loathed is happening right now. My life is on the verge of being ruined completely. My family has put itself in danger so as to find my soulmate and get her out of here. I can't let them down and let Dwayne defeat me. I am going to do this for the people that I love most."What do you want from me, Dwayne?" I inquire from him for the fifth time since I reached here. He chuckles and shakes his head slightly, a habit I have always hated about him."You have everything, you know. You already took everything from me. Why take Amy? She has nothing to do with us. Let her go," my voice keeps raising as I talk to this irritating jerk."First of all, you are in no position to tell me what to do. Second of all, I am not letting the human girl go," he says. What the f**k!"I thought you wanted me. Here I am. Now let the girl go," I shout at him. I
AmyMs. Jenny, Sophia and I sneak out of the castle through the back way like thieves. Once outside, I look around the place and it is stunningly beautiful. The sun is going down and the view is amazing over the houses. It looks like a paradise village. The houses are organised in a pattern that gives the settlement an amazing look."Wow! Who knew this place could even exist?" I mutter mostly to myself but Sophia hears me and chuckles."You even have time to judge the appearance of the place?" she asks me with a playful smile on her face."It is so beautiful here that I can't fail to appreciate the fact," I tell her and she rolls her eyes. I want to laugh loop but my stomach feels so we empty. I think it has even coiled inwards. If I were in normal circumstances, I would have got my phone and taken a quick picture."Let's go now before they realize you are missing," Ms. Nelly says while getting hold of my hand.We walk through the the settle
JaceThe rowdy guards come back inside without Amy. I briefly sigh with relief knowing that they haven't been able to find her. I hope Sophia managed to get her out of this place. Now all I have to worry about is Jose, Patrick and Jordan. Ellen is in the great hall with me. She looks very strong. She is must be more determined than I thought."Tell me!" Dwayne orders the guards who look very breathless. They must have done a lot of running around."Sir. We searched around the castle but we couldn't find her," one of them responds."Damn it!" he roars and throws a decorative flowerpot off the windowsill infront of him. It lands on the floor with a deafening sound as it cracks into pieces. I could have laughed at seeing Dwayne throwing a fist because he has lost."Quit it, Dwayne. You are never going to have Amy. She is too smart for your idiotic pranks," I tell him with a smirk. The look on his face now is something I would pay a fortune to se
AmyA very loud howl comes out from the woods in the direction of the castle. An equally loud growl follows the howl, making my heart pound louder. We immediately stop walking and I look at Nelly who looks very worried."What is going on?" I inquire."That is Alpha Dwayne's howl. He is trying to communicate that there is danger in the castle and the entire pack should go and defend him," Nelly replies. I look at the pack of warriors behind me wondering if they are going to choose to .defend their current Alpha or their rightful Alpha."But we know what we want. We have already chosen the side we want to fight for and we aren't going to change our minds," Menny assures me."We must hurry. I think they have started to fight," he adds, and we start running. the wolves just glide through the woods. I, however, keep stumbling over my own feet. Nelly keeps helping me to run without falling. I don't understand why she should bother trying to help me inste
JaceI was damn surprised out of my mind seeing Amy being brought by the pack trainer. I thought she had already gone away from here. When Dwayne walked towards the pack trainer, I thought he had caught Amy and had brought her to him. I couldn't just watch Dwayne get back Amy so I had to stop him. I saw the look in Amy's eyes when she saw my wolf. She was terrified. I started thinking that she didn't like what I really was, but the pack trainer explaining the ulterior motive of the Redclaw warriors brought unimaginable relief to me.It means that Amy came here with the warriors on her own will. When I saw Sophia among the warriors, I really felt so supported. I was not expecting any help from the Redclaw pack members and there submission to me was totally unexpected. It had never crossed my mind that the Redclaw pack would fight along side me to get rid of Dwayne and his followers. At least Amy doesn't think of me as a beast since she has been with the wol
AmyNelly leads me behind the castle away from Dwayne and his men. Jace has remained behind to stop them but I don't feel safe at all. How can I leave Jace behind and hide?"No. I am going back to Jace," I tell Nelly."What are you talking about. You are going to get yourself killed," she says."He is alone with those monsters. I have to do something. He is going to get killed," I try to explain to her but she just shakes her head."He is trying to save you. You can't just go back. You will make things worse," she tells me. I know what she is saying is right, but I don't want to leave Jace's side. He is already very wounded. I can't stop worrying about him."Come on. Let's keep going," she pleads. I look behind me but I can't see Jace anymore. I can't even hear the growls of the wolves fighting. We have already gone far from the place where I left them. I nod to Nelly and she leads me away back to the back entrance of the castle. We we
