ASLAN’S POV

“Do you have to go, Aslan?”

“Aurora is like my sister. I had left blood only to last her a month. I have to go and meet her.”

“But, You promised to stay by my side,” Zarina said with teary eyes.

“I am just going to meet Aurora. I am not going to stay with Tyson.” I explained, placing my hand on her shoulder.

“What if he tries to keep you there by force?”

”I will use this locket to teleport back.” I said smiling.

“I don’t have a good feeling about this, Aslan…”

Damn! This girl was persistent. She didn’t expect me to stay with her like a prisoner, did she?

Her face fell and she said in a low voice, “I never wanted you to feel like that brother.”

I let out a deep sigh. This was the problem when you are living with a witch sister. You can’t even think freely. I was

AURORA’S POV I gasped for air as the clenching sensation in my lungs magnified. I tried to kick and thrash but my body remained suspended in the air.My head hurt so much that it was difficult to form even a single coherent thought. My body felt drained of power and my lips were chapped due to dehydration. In my haze, I sensed a few drops of liquid drip on my lips. I ran my tongue around my lips and gulped the saliva that formed in my dry mouth greedily. I don’t know what the liquid was but my mind cleared instantly. Cracking open my eyes, I saw Logan standing in front of me. I tried to smile but it was like all the muscles of my face were locked in place. His eyes darted across the room warily. Once he was sure we were alone, he moved closer and whispered into my ears, “The only way to escape this place is to find which object represents you.”I was trying to process what he said when I

AURORA’S POV I couldn’t have imagined such a death even in my darkest fantasy; suspended in the air, surrounded by candles with weird fragrance. My death meant the return of someone very evil. It also meant the death of my little girl. I tried to use my magic but it was all in vain.My body was drained of all strength. Despair had taken root in my heart and had grown like Cuscuta engulfing my heart; draining it of the tiniest bit of hope that was left.I was on the verge of giving up when Tyson and Caleb appeared before me, I was sure that it was just an illusion. So, I didn’t bother to respond and closed my eyes.A few drops of warm liquid dripped on my face. My eyes snapped open, hoping that Logan had found some way to save me.My eyes met copper brown ones instead of the blue ones. Bloody Hell! Tyson was here for real.He caressed my forehead and croaked out, “I thought I had lost you

Why are you worried about his whereabouts?”“I am not worried about him Damit! I am worried that my plan will be ruined by them.”She already had plotted something? During my stay at her place, I figured out that Zarina was very cunning and secretive. If I wanted her to share her secrets with me, she had to believe that I was dedicated to her. I had trained myself to control my reactions around her.“Psst! Shall I tell you a secret?” She said leaning closer.I raised my head and looked at her expectantly. Her eyes were aglow with such cunning determination that I was taken aback.“Today we will meet our mother again.”“Are you alright, Zarina? I know you have b

As a result, I had teleported to a random location.Letting out a deep sigh, I walked in the only direction I could see light coming from. It led me to a huge two-storeyed building. The strong pungent stench of alcohol indicated that it was a nightclub. It was a pity I couldn’t drink.I was about to leave but a blood-curdling scream made me stop dead in my tracks. Venturing inside I saw a young boy of about twelve being bullied by a group of strangers. The boy’s face was pale and his body was trembling. The man in the center looked at him with distaste and said. “Is this the way a man should behave? If someone tries to pick on you, you should know how to retaliate. Come fight me.”Was this man addled? How could a young, weak boy stand against his muscular, large f

A few minutes later I had fallen on the ground, drenched in sweat and panting with exertion. My magical powers weren’t enough to penetrate the dark shield. There was only one way now…Teleporting to the sanctuary, I took out ‘The Heart of Magic’. I shivered at the currents of power coursed through me by just holding it.I was about to use it when my mind veered to the Old Lady’s words. ‘Every time you use this stone, you will lose a part of your soul. It will suck you of all happiness, love, kindness and all that will be left in a dark, cold corpse devoid of any feelings.’My hands trembled and my heart raced faster than horses. Someone tipped me off about it and the lead was too good to wait.”“Tell me at least you found something useful, brother.”“I must say that the risk was worth it. I have a blueprint of The Dark Lord’s plan now. His plan is divided into phases. Phase one involves kidnapping Tiara.”“Damn!
