AURORA’S POV

I moaned as the cold water cascading down my body; draining me of all the weariness. It washed away the grime, dirt, and sand.

Unfortunately, it couldn’t wash away my memories. The past two months were ingrained so deeply that I wouldn’t forget even if I got Alzheimer's.

I waved my hands in the air and let a small breeze swirl the drops of water around like a tiny whirlwind. It mirrored my mind which was swirling with millions of thoughts and emotions.

I needed a break… I wanted to escape to a lonely place but I was scared of getting caught up in a bigger mess. The water fell on the floor with a splash as I lost my concentration.

While I was dressing up, I heard footsteps outside my room. Thanks to my witchy hearing, I overheard about some mass killing.

“ I am going to ignore the fact that about a hundred people are going to be massacred. I didn’t hear it… I don&rsquo

AURORA’S POVWhen the spinning sensation ended, I found myself in a dark alley. I had forgotten to visualize the place where I wanted to be. As a result, I had teleported to a random location.Letting out a deep sigh, I walked in the only direction I could see light coming from. It led me to a huge two-storeyed building. The strong pungent stench of alcohol indicated that it was a nightclub. It was a pity I couldn’t drink.I was about to leave but a blood-curdling scream made me stop dead in my tracks. Venturing inside I saw a young boy of about twelve being bullied by a group of strangers. The boy’s face was pale and his body was trembling. The man in the center looked at him with distaste and said. “Is this the way a man should behave? If someone tries to pick on you, you should know how to retaliate. Come fight me.”Was this man addled? How could a young, weak boy stand against his muscular, large f

AURORA’S POV I paced up and down the room, wringing my hands, glaring at Aslan every few seconds. That idiot had declared me as the Queen of Dragons… What was he even thinking?“Can you please slow down… My head has started throbbing.” Aslan said massaging his head.I stood right in front of him and gritted out, “Serves you right! If you hadn’t saved my life I would have used my magic and turned you into a mouse and put you in one of those boxes we get… you know the ones in which the rat keeps running one a wheel…”“Calm down Little Witch… I just announced the truth…” His face turned pale and stopped talking suddenly.“What did you just say?”“Ummm… nothing…” He said looking away.He was hiding something from me and I intended to get it out of him. TYSON’S POV I had the habit of imagining scenarios and preparing to meet them headlong. Never in my wildest dreams had I thought that I would be mated to someone. It wasn’t deliberate but it did happen. I had started caring for Aurora and our baby. This scared the shit out of me.After we teleported back to the Pearl Palace, I lifted Aurora in my arms and carried her slowly to my bedroom. Whenever I saw anyone, I would lower my head as if I am whispering something in her ears.I could hear the thrumming of her heart and her labored breathing. My lips spread in a natural smile realizing that my proximity affected her. The moment I closed the door to my bedroom she exploded, “What do you think you were doing? This was supposed to be acting!”I bit the inside of my cheeks to keep my expression stoic and said, “Wasn’t this acting?”She got flustered and scowle

TYSON’S POV I stirred in my sleep to the most wonderful sensation in the world. I felt so complete and warm. My lips spread into a contented smile and I cracked open my eyes. Then, it struck me like a bolt of lightning. I had never intended to sleep with Aurora. I couldn’t let her come any closer to me than she already was!I got out of my bed and glanced at Aurora. Thankfully, she was still sleeping. I didn’t want her to think that I had any feelings for her. I left before Aurora got up.“Aslan! Zarina! Caleb!” I called out as I entered the hall.Zarina was the first to teleport in front of me. She seemed particularly happy that I had allowed her to use magic inside the palace. Aslan arrived a few moments later.“I am going to Typhoon. Zarina, it will be your responsibility to take care of Aurora. Help her learn how to control magic. Aslan, it will be your duty to manage the affairs behi

CALEB’S POV I carried Tiara outside so that Zarina and the healer could change Aurora’s clothes. She looked so much like Tyson; same copper eyes, sharp eyebrows but her lips were like Aurora’s; soft as the petals of a rose. She was the kind of baby one instantly fell in love with. I could fight with the world for her. I placed my finger near her tiny palm, My heart danced with joy when she gripped my huge finger with her tiny hands. My time with the little angel was cut short when I heard Aurora’s anxious voice.“Where is my baby?”Her face lit up with a million-dollar smile on seeing Tiara in my arms. Tiara started wailing loudly as if on cue.“Teetee is missing moma too, is it?” I cooed handing her over to Aurora. I watched in wonder as Tiara stopped crying the moment she was in Aurora’s arms.Zarina came in with a feeding bottle and handed it to Aurora. Soft sucking so

TYSON’S POV Exhaling loudly, I sat with a thump on my bed. I had foiled probably the two hundredth attempt of my enemies to kill Aurora. Though this time something seemed off. It was a very easy win almost as if the man was trying to test something rather than fighting. I had to be more careful in the future. The screen lit up with a notification, ‘Tiara’s milk was spiked with poison in Pearl Palace.’Hell! That attack was just a ploy to keep me distracted while they carried out their original plan. Those M*****F******! It was time for part B of the plan.I would soon put an end to all of this. There was no way I would let them hurt Aurora or my little angel. I would keep her safe and protected no matter what I had to do.I picked up the skin-colored mask and wore it on my face. Soon, the person staring at me had a wheatish complexion, no scar, and a huge mole top of the lips. I put on blue contacts to comp

ASLAN’S POV “Zarina, tell me honestly. What do you know about the recent attack on the baby?” I asked, gripping her shoulders.“Are you getting worried about that tiny tot now, brother? I have already written death in her destiny. It is just a matter of time.”It took every ounce of my self-control to speak the next sentence. Zarina was trying to test my intentions and I couldn’t fail her. “We have been pretending for FIVE whole months to care for Aurora. Now, if Tiara dies before we get the Heart of Magic, won’t our efforts go in vain?”“Don’t worry, brother. I have already warned Logan not to attack Tiara again.”I felt like someone had punched me in the gut. “What the F***! Did you say… Logan?”“I often forget how little you know about witches. Celeste’s soul was bound to Logan’s body. So, she can channel him as a

AURORA’S POV I felt so restless at the thought of taking my little girl on a dangerous expedition. Unfortunately, I had no choice.Caleb stood up and took out a scroll from his pocket. The paper looked so thin that I was scared it would tear just because we tried to open it.Spreading it out on the table Caleb explained, “This was given to me by a very powerful seer who owed me a favor. This is an ancient map that shows the location of the portal. It is nestled in the nucleus of a dense forest. This forest is surrounded by concentric stretches of seas, deserts, and high mountains.”“Dang it! Caleb, we can’t possibly think of taking my newborn baby to such a place! I don’t think she can bear the unending journey and climatic fluctuations…”“Who said we have to travel? We can teleport.” Zarina said shrugging her shoulders.I smacked my forehead. I had forgotten that

AURORA’S POV Three months later…My lips spread into a wide grin as I watched Tyson play with the keys nervously. “What the hell is taking so long?”Bumping my shoulder against Tyson’s, I said in a teasing voice, “Is the great Dragon King afraid of being spotted at the clinic of Gynecologist?”His face turned red and he almost shouted, “How can you joke about this, Aurora? I am worried about our baby.”“Excuse me, mister! Is this your first time at a hospital? Please keep your voice low!”I burst out giggling as I saw the nurse chastise Tyson and storm away. I gasped his hand before he could pursue the nurse.“Do you not want to see our baby?”“F***! Aurora. If I wasn’t so tempted to see our baby on the screen, I would have never come to this wretched place.”Exhaling deeply, I said in a rueful voice,

Without any warning, she thrust a dagger inside him. “Ahhhh!!!” His bloodcurdling scream sounded as he dropped to the ground.“Are you okay? AURORA’S POV I closed my eyes and focused on the place I had seen in my memories and tried to teleport there. A few minutes later I had fallen on the ground, drenched in sweat and panting with exertion. My magical powers weren’t enough to penetrate the dark shield. There was only one way now…Teleporting to the sanctuary, I took out ‘The Heart of Magic’. I shivered at the currents of power coursed through me by just holding it.I was about to use it when my mind veered to the Old Lady’s words. ‘Every time you use this stone, you will lose a part of your soul. It will suck you of all happiness, love, kindness and all that will be left in a dark, cold corpse devoid of any feelings.’My hands trembled and my heart raced faster than horses. Aslan, Tyson, and Zarina had already taken their positions as per the plan.If I didn’t save Tiara on time, I would risk all of their l

AURORA’S POV We sat on the four sides of the map and joined our hands together.“When we give you the signal you all have to cut your palm and let the blood drip on the map. No one speaks in between. Is that clear?”We all nodded our heads and held hands forming a circle. Zarina and I closed our eyes and started chanting the spell.A first everything was dark but as the spell advanced, I could see glimpses of visions between the darkness but it was all hidden behind some haze…Sensing the tug at my hands, I opened my eyes and slit open my palm. The others did the same. All the blood trickled to the center and then nothing…“Damn! I had so much faith that this spell will work!” Zarina said tearing her hair.“It did work… Not the way locator spell works but I saw visions. Tiara is on Earth. Someone tipped me off about it and the lead was too good to wait.”“Tell me at least you found something useful, brother.”“I must say that the risk was worth it. I have a blueprint of The Dark Lord’s plan now. His plan is divided into phases. Phase one involves kidnapping Tiara.”“Damn! Is that why you sent Aurora to the sanctuary hastily?”“Hmm… I plan to keep them safe from this mess.”“If we don’t let him complete phase one, we could win easily,” Aslan said in a hopeful voi

When she didn’t come even after an hour’s wait, I decided to leave.I had just turned to walk away when Aurora materialized before me. Startled, I took a few steps backward.Smiling at me, she said, “Sorry for the delay, Caleb. Tyson insisted that I should wait till you start leaving just to make sure… you know how paranoid he is…”“I am surprised that he even let you come to meet me.”She snorted and said, “I am not his slave. I put it around Tiara’s neck when I took her from you and teleported to the sanctuary. Tears rolled down my cheeks and a scream erupted from my soul. This had to be a lie… She couldn’t do this…Tyson kneeled beside me and pulled me into a hug, “I am so sorry, Aslan.
