AURORA’S POV

Three months later…

My lips spread into a wide grin as I watched Tyson play with the keys nervously. “What the hell is taking so long?”

Bumping my shoulder against Tyson’s, I said in a teasing voice, “Is the great Dragon King afraid of being spotted at  the clinic of Gynecologist?”

His face turned red and he almost shouted, “How can you joke about this, Aurora? I am worried about our baby.”

“Excuse me, mister! Is this your first time at a hospital? Please keep your voice low!”

I burst out giggling as I saw the nurse chastise Tyson and storm away. I gasped his hand before he could pursue the nurse.

“Do you not want to see our baby?”

“F***! Aurora. If I wasn’t so tempted to see our baby on the screen, I would have never come to this wretched place.”

Exhaling deeply, I said in a rueful voice,

AURORA’S POVI drew in a long, deep breath before pushing open the glass door.“Miss Aurora, Please be seated. Dr. Dixon will join you in a moment.” The tall, lanky assistant muttered and walked out of the door leaving me all alone. My heart pounded against my ribs. I gripped the hand of the chair tightly as I studied my surroundings to keep myself distracted. The cabin was just like a gynecologist's cabin should be; jet white walls with charts of babies and fetuses at various stages. A particular image of a beautiful baby girl caught my eyes.I had always loved babies but after Leonard's betrayal, I had stayed away from any serious relationships.“Ah! Ms. Aurora… right on time I see. Your reports are here.” A sweet yet firm voice sounded in the room drawing my attention.I turned my head in the direction of the voice to find my charming and energetic doctor standing with a smile.

On top of that, he was trying to speak up for the girl who was responsible for all of this.If this continued I wouldn’t be able to control the transformation. I had to leave before I ended up killing my brother.I shoved Aslan away and rushed to the underground chamber. Forcing myself to take long, deep breaths; I sat on the green, ornate throne. It was made of pure Jadite. Being my birthstone, it always calmed me down.A few minutes later Aslan came rushing into the chamber. Seeing me seated on the throne he halted in front of me and stood with his head bowed.I was the king of the Fire Dragons. He was bound by convention to show me respect. I heard his erratic heartbeat and sensed his discomfort but I wasn’t prepared to hear him yet.I saw the veins on his arms pop as he balled his hands into a fist.

AURORA’S POV Laying on the bed, I kept staring into the blank space. How did I get entangled in this mess?Tyson was an egoistic, cold-blooded killer. He didn’t even flinch when that cop was killed. I had a feeling that Tyson ordered people to be killed just like we order food in a restaurant.I massaged my head trying to wrap my head over the things that had happened. Michael just walked away as if in a trance.I had a feeling that he would text all my friends that I was in Texas. No one would come looking for me and I couldn’t call anyone. In short, I was completely screwed. The door creaked open drawing me out of my thoughts.“I have brought food for you,” Aslan said walking in.“I don’t want to eat anything…” I said lowering my eyes. He was crazy to think that I would feel like eating after today’s incident. He ignored my statement

What is so important that they are willing to risk their lives?”“I think I know what they are after… Look at this…” He said handing me a green file.My eyebrows furrowed as I asked, “Why are you checking Lina’s profile again? Don’t tell me that you think she is the traitor. Do you have to be so paranoid?”“I am sure that she is the traitor. She is the one who tipped the werewolves about ‘The Heart of Magic.’”“You can’t be serious. She saved your life…”“Just to

If I was given a chance, I would choose Caleb over Tyson anytime. So what if he was the leader of the Mafia, he had been very kind to me.“Thinking about my brother, are you?” A sweet voice sounded near me causing me to jump.I raised my head to see an enchantress. Everything about her was perfection; deep, blue eyes juxtaposing her long golden locks, cherry red lips, and a perfect figure. Her face flushed slightly and she said, “Thank you for your high appraisal. Some people think that my beauty makes me a weak person.”“How did you know… can you read my mind?” I asked in an appalled voice.“I can’t read minds but I can sense moods. With ye

I was stunned to see that most of my den was empty. The place that was usually flooded with men was desolate. On instinct, I drew out both my guns and went to patrol the quarters. The few men who were left were of a low rank and couldn’t possibly know the whereabouts of the others.I ventured into the conference room to find it barren except for Lina. She was so engrossed in watching the screen that she didn’t even sense my presence.“Lina! Where is everyone?” I called out as I walked in.“Alpha Caleb! What a pleasant surprise!” Lina said in a sweet voice, turning towards me.My heart skipped a beat at her tone. What was she up to now?I pointed my gun at her and said in a cold voice, “Don&

A few minutes later I had fallen on the ground, drenched in sweat and panting with exertion. My magical powers weren’t enough to penetrate the dark shield. There was only one way now…Teleporting to the sanctuary, I took out ‘The Heart of Magic’. I shivered at the currents of power coursed through me by just holding it.I was about to use it when my mind veered to the Old Lady’s words. ‘Every time you use this stone, you will lose a part of your soul. It will suck you of all happiness, love, kindness and all that will be left in a dark, cold corpse devoid of any feelings.’My hands trembled and my heart raced faster than horses. Aslan, Tyson, and Zarina had already taken their positions as per the plan.If I didn’t save Tiara on time, I would risk all of their l

AURORA’S POV We sat on the four sides of the map and joined our hands together.“When we give you the signal you all have to cut your palm and let the blood drip on the map. No one speaks in between. Is that clear?”We all nodded our heads and held hands forming a circle. Zarina and I closed our eyes and started chanting the spell.A first everything was dark but as the spell advanced, I could see glimpses of visions between the darkness but it was all hidden behind some haze…Sensing the tug at my hands, I opened my eyes and slit open my palm. The others did the same. All the blood trickled to the center and then nothing…“Damn! I had so much faith that this spell will work!” Zarina said tearing her hair.“It did work… Not the way locator spell works but I saw visions. Tiara is on Earth. It is the meeting point of the most powerful seers in the world. What if someone decides to put a hex or a spell on you?”“You both were busy. Someone tipped me off about it and the lead was too good to wait.”“Tell me at least you found something useful, brother.”“I must say that the risk was worth it. I have a blueprint of The Dark Lord’s plan now. His plan is divided into phases. Phase one involves kidnapping Tiara.”“Damn! Is that why you sent Aurora to the sanctuary hastily?”“Hmm… I plan to keep them safe from this mess.”“If we don’t let him complete phase one, we could win easily,” Aslan said in a hopeful voi

Tears rolled down my cheeks and a scream erupted from my soul. This had to be a lie… She couldn’t do this…Tyson kneeled beside me and pulled me into a hug, “I am so sorry, Aslan.
