Until today, I heard they were having some kind of celebration. If I were there, I would have been having crazy fun, but here I was, in a cell where cockroaches and rats use as their abode.

Suddenly, the earth rumbled like there was an earthquake, and the gates of the cells were thrown open. Without thinking at all, whether it was a trap or not, I didn’t care. I ran out immediately, and the maids followed me too.

We dashed into the woods, but as we ran, it looked like we had lost our way because it was just trees ahead of us. That was when I saw Adrian going through another path, and I followed. It seemed he knew his way around, but my hope was cut off when we got surrounded.

We were taken to a nearby camp. I wondered where we were until I saw some familiar people. They were my father’s friends. There were mostly men and younger boys. I recognized them because some of them were my friends too.

“Natalie!” One of them called, and when he came closer, I snuggled into his embrace
