The news reached Nicklaus like a slap to the face but he maintained his poise. Nothing of this was new to him, he expected this much when he embarked on a journey to find someone who was declared dead still, it broke him every time he was reminded of the possibility.

His only grounds are speculations, nothing else but guts feelings. What if she really is dead and he’s too delusional to accept this?
