"If you two want to continue arguing, then take it up to your room. I can hear your voices echoing through the walls of my room." Pa Martins said, slightly annoyed. "What is the argument about, anyway?"

"It's Victoria," I replied.

He raised an eyebrow, "Victoria? Which of the Victoria?"

"My father's wife." I specified.

"Why are you both arguing about her?" He asked.

"She's back and saying a lot of untrue things"

His eyes widened slightly, "You mean she's back in New York City?"

I nodded, confirming, "Yes, Pa."

He let out a deep sigh, followed by a brief silence before he spoke up. "Come with me." He said, his voice tinged with unease.
