Alex stared out at the window from her room the following day after waking up and taking a shower on her usual time. However, instead of heading down to help open the diner, she stayed inside her room until it was already ten in the morning.

Montgomery made several calls to her phone but she ignored it, ultimately blocking his number out of anger. She fully blamed him for putting his nose into her affairs and trying to be the better person.

A message notification came from her phone and she checked to see who sent the message.

“I’ll be there in less than ten minutes,” Damon said in his message.

Finally going out of her room, Alex went down the stairs and swallowing a heavy sigh, she pushed the doors towards the dining area.
