Ruke had long left the restaurant and was making his way home, he drove calmly through the traffic halfway to his home, he decided to wind down his glass just to enjoy the evening breeze.
He caught a very peculiar scent and his muscles became taut and tensed, it was the most pleasant scent he had ever perceived and it was coming from the car in front of his, he adjusted his sitting position and started following the car.
“The driver must have noticed that they were being followed because the car changed route and took the forest path instead of driving towards my home", I thought Ruke even better.
He was a little surprised when the driver made for the forest and, in their eagerness to outdrive him, he drove into a tree.
Shit! shit! He rushed towards the car, shifted it from the tree and opened the driver's door.
He was met with a powerful kick to the stomach.
He was pushed backward with so much force that he slammed into a tree.
The driver stepped out of the car looking furious.
Ruke was struck by the intensity of her scent and her beauty.
The moon shone through the trees and seemed to rest on her.
Her fiery red hair flew about like raging fire and Ruke was mesmerized.
She thought she was being followed by humans, but what was coming after her was a lycan and she had kicked him.
She hid her fear behind a brave.
But what was this pleasing scent coming from him?
She could not see his face well. She decided to muster up courage.
“You ruined my car, Lycan" she sang.
"For someone so angry, your voice would make your enemy think you are seducing him, Ruke said, smiling and grunting at the same time.
The kick had been effectively delivered but he was already healed.
Hermione didn't like being reminded of that.
She sounded feminine even when angry and the man was not helping matters.
He moved towards her and the moon shone on them.
She let a tiny gasp escape her lips.
She was struck by his good looks.
She had heard stories of how good-looking Lycans were, but she had never seen one this breathtaking.
She took two steps back from him.
Ruke advanced toward her in a menacing way.
He felt she was not a Lycan and not a werewolf.
She felt stronger than a werewolf. "Who are you?
“Not your business, she retorted.”
His scent was making her want to melt at his feet.
But she held herself and took one last look at him and, with incredible speed, ran past Ruke into the dark.
“Wait!” yelled the mesmerized Ruke, he took after her and gave chase.
What sort of trouble has the moon goddess gotten me into? Hermione thought as she ran.
If I'm not making mistakes, that Lycan is my mate!
She heard him behind and ran with all her might.
The thrill of chasing his mate made the beast in him purr in delight.
He increased his speed and she was soon within his grasp.
“Wait!!!” he yelled.
She was running towards the cliff.
Hermione stopped at the edge of the cliff.
She was cornered. She looked below and saw the river waiting for unlucky divers.
She threw her predator a defiant look, shook back her hair and growled dangerously.
“ Leave me alone. "
“I'm sorry, beautiful, but that I won't do' said Ruke.
“Don't jump" he pleaded.
He made as if to grab her but she was quicker and dived head-first into the water below.
Ruke let out a frustrated groan and dived in after her.
Hermione was shocked at how cold the water was, she gasped and started swimming towards the bank with the Lycan at her heels.
He held one leg, pulled her towards him, she slammed into his chest with full force and a shock of electricity went through their bodies.
She saw it affected him too, because his eyes suddenly changed color and he moaned involuntarily.
She fought him but he was as hard as a rock and would not let her go.
“Stay still!” he gasped, still holding onto her.
“You! Do not tell me what to do!" she shrieked.
Ruke simply lifted her off her feet and carried her on his shoulder with her head towards his back and her legs at his front.
She kept kicking as he ran towards his house.
I'm taking you to my house. If you stay out you'll be cold."
He tried to reassure her.
“I'm not in need of a house!” she yelled.
The Lycan stopped and put her down. They were now in front of the house.
The house did not begin to define this" thought Hermione.
This was a mansion.
She would have turned tail and fled but the luxury before her calmed her and she followed the Lycan into the house.
She was ushered into the kitchen and Ruke pulled out a chair for her.
“Thanks” she grunted and sat down.
He walked to the counter, got a glass and poured her a glass of milk.
“Here, drink up.”
She took the glass but didn't drink. She instead looked around and sniffed the air.
“Smells like you are not the only one in this mansion" she said.
“Mansion” he repeated, looking amused. "I stay with my two younger brothers”.
“What's your name," she asked.
Ruke, yours? Let me guess Diana?
“Nope," she said, looking unamused.
My name's not Diana, it's Hermione.
“Wow! That's fitting. It suits you”.
Ruke could hear his brothers coming towards the kitchen. “Here comes my brothers”.
She becomes somewhat tense and he tries to reassure her that they were harmless.
“Who do we have here, ruke?” asked Raphael with a roguish smile.
“I don't remember you bringing girls”.
His next words were forgotten when he stood facing her.
“Oh, my word," he gasped," she's beautiful!
Jake, Raphael. This is Hermione. He waited for the words to sink in, "and she's my mate.”
“What!” screamed Jake, who was the quietest of the three brothers."
“You have found your mate? What about us?”
He looked at the lady and she was as beautiful as a goddess.
He walked over to her and took her hand.
"Enchanted to meet you milady, I'm Jake”.
He planted a kiss on her cold hand.
“Where are your manners, Ruke! She's wet and cold” Jake blurted.
Hermione stood up and made for the entrance to the kitchen" nice to meet you all but I'm a lone cat and I'm not ready to mate.
He was rock-hard and it did nothing to help that she was dangerously close to him.
Hermione placed her hands on Ruke's chest and tried to push herself up but he was quick to hold her down with h
In two seconds, Ruke was standing between her and the door. “You are not going anywhere”, Ruke pleaded. I go where I please" she said, dabbing a finger at his chest with every single word. “Mates stay together forever," Ruke said. Raphael and Jake simply folded their hands and watched the drama. “Isn't she hot?” Raphael's mind linked to Jake. They were all taken by her intense beauty and the fire in her eyes did nothing to diminish her attractiveness. Hermione looked at the three lycans. Shecouldn't run, else they'd catch her without breaking a sweat. She'd just had to bid her time. “Okay Lycan," she piqued, " Let's see if we don't get tired of each other. Ruke was a little annoyed that she kept calling him Lycan, but he decided to hold his fire. "Let me take you upstairs so you could get changed”. Hermione followed him, leaving the other two behind. She did not know what to make of them yet. “That will be for another day.” She was so caught up in the thought that s
Hermione awoke to the singing of birds from the trees nearby. She had slept peacefully through the night. She turned and met Ruke’s gaze. "Good morning," she said, stifling a yawn. "You kept to your side of the bed, I suppose?” "Yeah" replied Ruke, getting up. "My car’s still out there, and I need to get my phone “, looking down, she added, “I can’t wear your shirt forever". She slid down from the bed and Ruke couldn’t help thinking how graceful she was with her movement. "I’ll walk you there " he replied. "Best to get going then, “said Hermione. They both left the room and went down the stairs. They were almost out when Hermione paused in her steps. "Where are your parents, “she asked, facing him. "Oh...” he said, caught off guard by the question “they left some years ago”, he smiled, “two lovebirds touring the world". Hermione’s countenance was softened by his answer; "he loved his parents”, she thought". "They must be happy then,” she said. "They most certainly are"
(The Witch Sisters)Hermione noticed a new car she had not seen in the garage parked outside, right in front of the magnificent house. She pointed this out to Ruke.“Must be the witches“ he replied, and when Hermione raised her eyebrows he added, “old family friends, their mother was a Japanese witch and their father a Lycan."“They got the witch gene?” Hermione asked, seemingly interested.“They have heightened hearing and are stronger than the average human. But they’re incapable of turning because their witch side is more dominant, their dad had a fit and almost killed the girls. Luckily, our parents rescued them and their mother. Hermione still hadn’t looked away and Ruke suddenly became hot. He matched her gaze and thought he could hear the cogs in her brain working. Her heart hammered against his, he felt her soft flesh against his rock-hard chest. It was as though time had stopped for both of them, and then, with a soft groan, Ruke’s lips came crashing down on hers with so much passion she felt her knees melt.Hermione gasped for breath, grabbed a fistful of his hair and deepened the kiss. Ruke gave a guttural groan and ran his hands down hermione’s back. The sound that left hermione’s lips had Ruke almost running mad with passion. Hermione’s hands left his hair and travelled down to his chest. She moaned as her hands met strong muscles. Ruke had had enough, his beast was at the edge of hurtling into delirium. He had started the kiss but was slowly losing control when Hermione suddenly stood on tiptoes, placed both hands behind his neck and took the kiss to another level. With a groan of satisfaction,
Hermione looked happier than Ruke had seen her. She had woken up the morning after the council meeting beaming in a sort of bemused, looking around the room as though it were her first time in it. She had walked Ruke to the kitchen, telling him the importance of breakfast on the way. Hermione was surprised to see that Lang lang was already there, cooking breakfast. If there was anything she needed from across the room, she would wave her hands towards it and it would zoom across the room into her hands. “Good morning Lang lang” Hermione sang, looking awestruck at her raw power. Lang lang nodded at her reply, threw Ruke a knowing look, and continued her onslaught on the eggs before her. “I’ll go get the guys,“ Ruke offered and left. “Is there anything I can do to help?” Hermione asked, looking round the kitchen. “Nope,” Lang Lang replied promptly “I’m almost done anyway." She walked to the fridge and reached out a hand to open the door, then she paused, and turned towards
Hermione swore revenge under her breath and started swimming furiously round the pool. So what’s in it for me” she asked malevolently, a fake smile on her face.“If I win, you get to do whatever I ask “he paused, “and if you win, the same goes for you“ Ruke finished, looking at Hermione with an engaging look.“Then it’s on” Hermione replied. They both made their way to one end of the pool."How do we know when to start?” she asked.“At the count of three then,” Ruke replied, “two laps, we swim to the other end and back.”Hermione nodded, looking determined.“Let’s count then” said Ruke.“1..2...”and at “3” They both dived into the water, Hermione pushed off powerfully and swam forwards with powerful strokes. She got to the other end of the pool first and gracefully turned, pushing off from the wall of th
