Chapter No 25 Hilarious

The whole town was despondent. The streets were blocked due to snowfall. She heard that Canada’s frosty weather is cold and depressive but now when she was actually there she felt she was all covered in depression.

People were skating over frozen puddles. She felt her heart was all dead. Her expressions were frowning. He was talking to some blond, who was asking about grocery shops. The blondie might have caught a cold because she was sneezing.

“What happened?” he asked..

He gave her the vanilla ice cream cup and as for him he brought chocolate.

“How do you know I like Vanilla?” she asked.

“Lucky guess,” he said shortly.

“Wait, how could you pick such a great guess?” she asked. He smiles.

“Common sense kittens, 70 percent girls like Vanilla” he said in a scatterbrained and disorganized voice. She looked at him instantly.

“How about the other 30?” she asked.

“Well they like me” he shrugged. She rolled her eyes and he chuckled.

“Now are you feeling better?” he asked.

“You did this to cheer me up?” she asked.

“Of course I did this for you, to cheer you up” he said smiling.

“Now come on, let’s go for skating” he said while grabbing her hand softly but she resists.

“What happened?” he asked.

“I don’t know how to skate” she said awkwardly. He chuckled.

“Well I know” he said and took her towards the nearby rock.

“Sit here” he said and bends in front of her. He fixes skating shoes in her soft feet.

“Here we go” he said. He was already wearing his.

“You are treating me as if I am 5 year old,” she said.

“For me you are, Kitten. Now slowly get up” he said while holding her hand.

“Wait Manfred, I will fall, hey” she screams. But he had a strong grip over her. waist.

“There you go, such a fast learner” he said while slowly skating with her.

“I am afraid” she said while closing her eyes.

“I will hold you” he said.

After a while she learned to balance herself.

“Well that’s a good girl” he said.

She was skating happily, when someone called her.

“Miss Huston” she stopped. It was the Doctor, she went to the other day. Her heart skipped a beat.

“Skating is not good for you” he said, smiling.

Her face turned pale.

“Well, I already told you to be careful,” he said.

“Doctor Henry…I was…” she was about to say something when he cut her off in the middle.

“Here you are a young man, you did not show up on her test report day” he said to Manfred who was looking at him as if he was trying to recognize him.

“Her what?” he asked.

“Really? Young generations nowadays, your wife is pregnant and she has not told you yet” he said while rolling his eyes.

Manfred was looking at her as if he was looking at Ghost.

“You need to take better care of her young man” he said while putting his hand over his shoulder.

“And you Miss Huston, you have an appointment next week” he said to Matilda.

“Merry Christmas to both of you” he said and left.

Manfred was still in shock. He was still looking at her jaw drop. She was hesitant to look at him.

“Lets go to the room” he said and took her towards the rock and took off her shoes.

She walked exhausted beside him.

“Is it him?” he asked her. The room was warmer than the outer side.

“Yeah it’s him, he was the only man in my life” she said bitterly.

“He impregnated you and left you here” he said angrily.

She remained quiet.

“Did your friend know?” he asked.

“No, and he will kill me for sure” she said, exhausted.

“Who is the father? Who is your boyfriend?” he asked.

She remained quiet.

“Tell me demit,” he demands angrily.

“EastonFanaggaen” she said while closing her eyes instantly.

He gave her a sigh and left the room in a rush.

She opens her eyes and falls over the bed and starts crying.

“Why Easton? Why did you do this to me” she screams.

He was smoking for half an hour. “It’s Easton Fanaggaen” her voice was echoing in his mind and then his phone rang and a smile appeared over the corner of his lips.

He got up and went inside the room. It was darkness. She does not like darkness but today the room was filled with depressive darkness.

He turned on the lights while concluding something. The room was empty and she was not in the room. He turned towards the door.

“Stupid girl, what have you done?” he muttered and ran outside.

She was nowhere. He passed his fingers through his hair in frustration and went towards his car.

“She should be here” he muttered while patting over his car’s steering while driving, His long fingers seem more furious than he does.

“Come on Matilda, where are you?” he muttered.

She was dialing Jim’s number for an hour, she was sitting over the bench outside of an airport. In frustration, she tossed the phone over her bag. She pulled her hair back. She was now feeling panicked.

“What I suppose to do now?” she thought.

“Hey look what we got here?” She heard a sinister voice.

This was the last voice on earth she wanted to hear. She looked up in a rush. It was Nathan, the employer at Fanaggaen industry who harassed her. He was completely drunk.

“Well Well Well, a clever fox in the skin of sheep, must be my lucky day, You have some dues to pay and you’re gonna pay for that” he said while grabbing her arm.

He was dragging her towards the woods; it was nearly 2:00 am.

“Let go of me,” she screams. He pulled her hair and brought his lips near to hers’.

“Today I am gonna have fun with you bitch. You snatched my job, my wife has kicked me out, you destroyed my life and you’re gonna pay for it tonight” he said in a sinister voice, she felt a chill inside her backbone.

“Just let me go” she screamed trying to free herself as he was drunk so when she pushed him he had gone imbalanced.. She ran as fast as she could. He grabbed her again and slapped her on the face, her nose and lip started bleeding.

He raised his hand to punch her when some had grabbed his arm and punched him over the face. Nathan fell over the ground. Nathan was already drunk so he did not move and fell unconscious.

“Bloody Pervert” he muttered in anger and he grabbed her hand and dragged her towards the car.

“Manfred I…” she wanted to say something when he put his finger over lips and shushed her, anger was visible in his eyes. She remained quiet and got inside the car.

He got into the car and started driving. He was staring at the road with stone expressions.

After a while they reached the motel. She sat over her bed staring at the floor.

He put the towel in the warm water and placed it over her nose.

“Who asked you to leave? Why do you leave? If anything bad happened to you?” He was scolding her while treating her injuries.

“I don’t want you to face trouble because of me” she said.

“You dragged me inside your trouble now” he said in a whisper.

“Manfred please” she was about to say something when he stopped her in the middle.

“You need rest, we will go for the doctor’s appointment tomorrow to check if the baby is fine” he said.

“Now go to sleep like a good girl” he said while forcefully helping her laying down on the bed and putting a blanket over her.

“Manfred…” She called his name.

“Thanks..” she said in a whisper. He smiles as she closes her eyes.

He took a deep breath and went over to his bed. She was sleeping peacefully while he touched her stomach.

He took her towards the clinic, doctor Henry was checking over her.

“I hope you have been careful, Miss Huston” he said. Manfred coughed in response.

“You the coughing unknown man, you are the father, you are responsible for keeping her safe and what is that you are drinking?” he asked, pointing at the Alcohol he was holding. Manfred gazed at the doctor and then to the bottle.

“Brandy I guess” he said sheepishly.

Doctor Henry rolled his eyes and took the bottle from his hand and threw it inside the dustbin.

“Well no Alcohol throughout the pregnancy” he said.

“But she is pregnant, not me” he protested.

“Well she is your wif….” Henry was cut in the middle by him.

“Doctor she is not….” he said exhausted.

“Girlfriend I guess, well you still have to take care of her as she is carrying your baby young man” he said and turned towards the ultrasound machine.

“My Brandy” he whines while looking at the dustbin.

“Well the baby is healthy and safe, you have to take care of your diet and you are getting weak and that’s not good for baby’s health” he said while checking upon the Ultrasound machine.

“Well doctor you are right, she does not eat well” said Manfred.

“Miss Huston this is not good, your baby eats what you eat so need to be careful” he said worried.

“I will take good care next time, doctor” she said softly.

“And no skating, you can join yoga in your third trimester but now you need rest” he said while handing over her the reports.

“And you Mr?” he asked Manfred.

“Evans, Manfred Evans” he said.

“Yeah Mr Evans, take good care of her” he said content.

“Yeah doctor, I will take good care of her” he said.

“See everything is normal” he said while packing stuff.

“Where are you going?” she asked.

“We! We are going” he said,

“But where?” she asked.

“To my home and you are going to live with me there” he said.

“But Manfred” she tries to protest.

“No buts you are coming kitten” he said, she remained quiet.

He put her bag with his luggage.

“Manfred how would I say thank you” she said, smiling.

“Be my woman” he said while looking inside her eyes. She looked at him jaw dropped. He laughs harder.

“Look at your face” he said. She picked up the pillow and threw it over him which hit his face this time.

“Hey” he whines.

They got inside the car and he played the music. He played the aqua’s famous song Dr Jones

Sometimes, the feeling is right

“This song should be Doctor Henry,” he said laughing. Whenever the lead singer sings Doctor Jones, he sings Doctor Henry and she laughs harder.

His house was huge and beautiful. There were a lot of plants in the interior, something she found a bit odd.

“So do you like my home?” she asked while walking towards the nearby plant.

“Why you have a lot of plants in the house?” she asked awkwardly. He laughs for a few minutes while holding his stomach.

“What happened?” she asked while crossing her arms.

“Its Nina, she loves plants, we came here a year ago and had turned this house in a green house” he said still laughing.

“Who is Nina?” she asked.

“She is my best friend, you can say a partner in crime, we have been friends since childhood, last year she had to stay here in Canada for some business, so she asked me to arrange her stay, so I gave her the keys” he said while touching roses.

“So, now where is she?” she asked.

“Currently she is in Spain, I have to come for some family reunion so I came, Granna would be here too in a few days” he said.

“What will you tell Granna about me? I am trying to communicate with my friends, but jerks are no reachable” she said looking at her phone irritated.
