A CLASH OF TWO FRIENDS

WRITER’S POV

Lawrence pulled up in front of the hotel he and his friends usually hangout.

He rested his right arm lightly on the steering wheel and looked up front. He was yet to drive into the place.

He wondered if it was right that he went there knowing there’s a high chance that Charley would be there. Momentarily, he pondered on Veronica’s words and wondered if it wasn’t better he avoided seeing Charley for the time been. Seeing him would only rear up emotions he had shoved aside ever since that day.

Image of Bianca brushed through his head. His teeth clenched and he bit his lips. He could feel his palms get all sweaty. Thoughts of her drew up bile in his stomach.

His fist curled violently but he restrained himself. It was all he could do not to smash his already curled fist against the steering wheel before him.

“Calm down, Lawrence...” he mumbled aloud to himself as he inhaled sharply.

His phone beeped almost immediately. It was Carlos reminding him they were all waiting.
