Chapter 8 - Her Smell Irrevocably Brings Him Back

This hug is what I need. It comes right on time. It saves me. I can’t let Leon go. I want his warmth to stay.

In this moment, we are in a serene silent. Everything else blurs around us in my eyes.

I will remember this moment for a very very long time.

“…. You will live a great life here.” Leon whispers beside my ear. He is so sure on this. “Trust me. I’m not comforting you; I am telling the truth.”

“How do you know?” I am a little embarrassed as I am still sobbing. “Remind you that I am still suspicious and could kill all of you in a tiny second. I am a top assassin based on a top cadet’s theory.”

Leon chuckles, so soft and genuine. I love it so much because I now hold a secret piece of Leon that no one knows about. I can use my eyes as camera and film this with my eyes, then save this moment deeply in heart.

“You can kill me now, I don’t mind.” Leon says, calmly, as he accepts his final destiny.
