She Has A Mate

It seemed Ravenna's words did the trick of snapping me out of my thoughts. I shook my head, arching my eyebrows.

"What do you mean?" I asked out loud hesitantly.

She sniggered in amusement, taking a sip from her bloody Mary with a mischievous smirk.

However, she chose to speak next telepathically. 'I mean, it's obvious Sylvain. The way you always seem to talk about her and only her to me. The way you've been looking around ever since we got here, obviously in search of her.'

She paused, slowly placing a palm on my chest. 'And then the way your heart beats whenever she's near.' her voice in my mind came as a whisper.

I tried my best to remain composed even though I knew she was right. Damn it, Ravenna was always right when it came to these things. But what do I do?

I turned my gaze to Aria just then but then frowned. She seemed to be talking to that boyfriend/mate of hers but something was wrong.

The way they spoke was beyond tense.
