Reyna-Standing outside a large gate, which was too tall to see over, surrounded by shrubs, I wondered if there were any game updates involving the bosses on each floor. As far as I knew, the first one was a Giant Goblin. The entrance to the boss on this level was still the same, which is why we didn’t have any issues finding it.“You should know that even though you fought against all the monsters during the beta testing, I made sure to have them updated before the official release. When we go inside, don’t assume you know anything about how to defeat them. There are a lot of things that even I don’t know everything.” Luka said from beside me.When I looked over at him, I saw he was staring at the iron gate, and he looked slightly pale. I was sure he was thinking that there was a chance he would die inside. No matter what I had to do, I was going to ensure that he didn’t.“Let me deal with it first, to get an idea of what we are facing. Don’t try to save me either.” Taking a step for
Reyna-As soon as Luka found a way to distract him, I made my move to get near the Giant Goblin’s chest once more. Each time I managed to stun it and it gave me a little time to attack it as quickly as I could, giving it everything I had. It helped that the Goblin would swing at me with its club.I managed to dodge it each time, which meant it would hit itself. That hit helped lower his health bar by more than the damage that I was dealing. As the fight dragged on though, I was losing stamina. If this continued much more, I would either need to get myself killed again or produce a new strategy. It didn’t help that my flying capacity was reaching its limit. Just as the thought occurred to me, my wings failed, and I dropped down. I was still on the Goblin’s radar, as I did, and I wasn’t fast enough to dodge his next attack. The force of its foot kicking me was worse than when it had slammed its arm against me.A sharp pain filled my chest as I was hurled across the field. I watched as m
Reyna-Frowning at the message, I was curious how this person knew I was helping Luka. As far as I knew, Luka didn’t have any contact with the outside world. I suppose it could be a hacker or someone who knew more than what I had been told.Looking at Luka, I wondered if I should tell him about the message I just received. Since it was a private message, even if Luka and I are married in the game, the message would be encrypted for anyone around, except for me. Since Luka seemed set on keeping me out of it, I decided that I wasn’t giving him the option. If I could get access to his body, I could keep him safe. Also, I believed that once I had possession of his body, he would have no choice but to let me help him. At least I hope that is the case.“I will be back in a few hours. We will discuss it when I get back. Something important came up.” I didn’t give a chance to argue with me as I opened the log-out menu. After taking off my headgear, I sat forward in my chair. Turning my head t
Reyna-“What do you mean you have my body?” Luka sounded pissed, far more than I expected him to.I had sat next to Luka’s body for nearly an hour before I decided to return to the game. It hadn’t taken me long to find Luka, as I was able to see his location now that we were married. I hadn’t expected him to be sitting on a bench, deep in thought. It looked as if he had been sitting there for a long time too, as he wasn’t far from where I had logged out of the game. When I saw him sitting on a bench, he had his elbows resting on his knees and his head hung low. When I alerted him to my presence, he seemed a little surprised.Instead of asking him what was going on with him, the first words out of my mouth had been that his body had been transferred to my house. I had already looked over the folder that the guy had given me, but there hadn’t been much information on what was going on. It mainly consisted of his medical profile.Overall, he was healthy, which didn’t explain why he was s
Reyna-Turning my head, I looked up at him while his focus was on the water in front of us and my fishing pole. With how close he was to me; I noticed a few specks of sapphire in his eyes. I thought it was strange that his brown eyes had blue in them.It wasn’t tinged with blue, as the specks didn’t blend in with the brown. I thought maybe it was just the way the game made his character, yet I wondered if they might have been like that in real life. Taking my attention off his eyes, I noticed that whenever he was focused like this, there was a small dimple by the corner of his mouth.“As I had wanted to make this game as real as possible, fishing is like the way it is in reality. It doesn’t take as long, but the concept is still the same.” Luka explained, but I was too focused on him to notice what he was doing.I barely registered that he guided my hands or that he was basically fishing for me. I was too wrapped up in the way it felt to be in his arms, with his hands over mine. The o
Reyna-Over the next few days, Luka and I focused on taking Hope on pet walks. Although I looked forward to seeing Luka every time I logged in, I was excited to be able to play with Hope. I noticed that she had bonded more with Luka.Considering they were with each other all day every day, it made sense. Still, our little pet always seemed happy to see me whenever I logged on. It was probably for the best that Luka and she developed a stronger bond anyways, that way she will protect him first rather than me.Other than just doing pet walks, we have been grinding hard on the second level. I noticed that the closer we got to being able to fight the boss, the less talking Luka did. It was as if he was pulling into himself, making it difficult to approach him. After logging out later the night we received our pet, I had been in a beautiful dream. We had acted like we were a real couple, even after the quest. When I returned, however, he seemed distant with me.It was becoming difficult to
Reyna-I was startled by how he grabbed me, but I didn’t pull away. Wrapping my arms around him, I didn’t ask why he suddenly felt the need to hug me. After a few minutes passed, he stepped back, while opening the inside of his coat.I watched as he swiped his hand down the inner later and a blue light appeared. Taking a closer look, it looked as if it were a keyboard of a sort. Confused, I looked up at him, as he focused on typing something on the inside of his coat. Before I could ask him, what was going on, a white hood appeared over my head, like the one on his coat. Reaching up, I touched the edge of the hood and tried to push it off, but he stopped me. Luka pulled it further down on my face, while also pulling his hood over his head.“I need you to keep it on whenever other players are around. I realize that you also need to keep your identity a secret at least for now.” Luka said as he wrapped one arm behind me and lowered his head as he guided me.Looking around, but keeping m
Reyna-We spent two days moving through the desert. It turned out to be more difficult than either of us imagined. It wasn’t so much the monsters we fought. The heat was almost too much to deal with. Every so often I had to log out just because I thought I was dying.I felt bad that Luka had to endure it, but he didn’t complain about it. It almost seemed as if it didn’t bother him at all. I suppose being a werewolf, their body temperature was already high, which meant that they weren’t nearly as affected by temperature changes.I simply just couldn’t handle it. As much as I tried not to complain about the heat or how it felt like I was on fire, I couldn’t stop myself. Thankfully, Luka didn’t seem to care, and he did his best to help me. We did most of our traveling at night when it wasn’t as hot. When I logged out, Luka would transport to our home, which I have yet to return to yet. I have been focused on getting through the levels. When we were done with the desert, I planned to see
