Chapter Seventy Nine

ELENA

I woke up the next morning, feeling a little bit better. At least, when I opened my eyes, I didn't feel like I was being blinded by the light.

I turned, about to leave the bed, when I saw Jason's sleeping form. I decided to stall a little bit as I just watched him.

The man was too good looking to be true.

Last night, he had told me that he had feeling for me. And I had of course, been flattered that he liked me. But now, as I had awoken this morning, I couldn't help feeling like it was all born out of the incident that had happened the previous night. I mean, emotions had been flying about.

He had specifically said that he had felt fear when he had thought that I was going to die. I didn't blame him.

We had the oddest of relationships, where love was not in the picture, but there was a picture if friendship lurking around in the corners. And sex too. A lot of sex.

So, it was normal for him to say he liked me.
