Chapter Ninety Nine

I sat in the bar, nursing my drink and feeling really down.

By body hurt from the places Colton had managed to land a blow on, but I didn’t care about it. In fact, the pain was welcome, and was the driving force behind my rage.

How could he?

How could they?

I closed my eyes as I let my mind go back to the time when I had hired Colton.

Flashback.

“I’ll meet you at the outdoor restaurant at the resort.” I said into the phone, despite Tyler’s warnings. There was no way I was going to stand, and let her destroy everything I had worked for.

“Okay. I’ll be there. Give me a few minutes.” Colton said from the other end of the phone, before hanging up.

I shit the door of my cabin and made my way towards the resort, enjoying the cool breeze fanning my cheek.

Tyler had been on my neck about this particular issue, and for the first time ever, I had to ask myself if my brother actually knew me.

Because if he did, he was supposed to know that when my mind was set on something,
