Chapter Ninety Eight.

ELENA

“What?” Jane exclaimed in a low voice from above me. “How the heck could he have done that?” She asked.

I raised my head and leaned back on the door. “I don’t even know.” I answered, referring to Colton. “I just knew that there was something off with him that’s past few days, but I let it slide, thinking I was just over reacting and that he had apologized to me already, so everything was okay. And now this.” I shook my head and waved my hand in a wild gesture.

Jane looked at me pitifully. “You shouldn’t blame yourself Elena, I’m sure Jason would calm down and listen to you when he comes back.” She said, and pulled me into a hug.

But I wasn’t sure. He had looked too angry when he had left. I wondered the kind of confrontation they had had when I had left, that had made them exchange blows to that extent.

Another thought came to my mind. And I pulled away from Jane with a frown.

“What?” Jane asked as I leaned on the door without saying anything.
