Maya's P.O.V

The elevator door finally flung open, and Ethan stood there, his daws bristly and jutting. He glanced at me without the slightest flicker or awareness whatsoever, which shows me that our separation didn't affect him as much as it did to me.

Of course, why would he remember someone that he barely dated for a few weeks?

Unlike me, he had thousands of girls lined up and waiting to be his next interest, so why would he be upset about losing someone as insignificant as me?

I didn't know why, but I suddenly felt the urge to cry. I bit down on my lips to stop any tears that were about to come out. Maybe I was just overwhelmed with everything and exhausted from traveling. All I wanted was to go back, sit on my table, finish assignments, and drink a warm cup of milk tea - what I've been doing my whole life.

As Ms. Wilson did a final count and made us do our final reflections of the trip, she reminded us that our final exam would be about this trip and a Movable Feast.
