Chapter seventeen

"Are you okay?" Axel asks when he pulls my hair out of my face.

"No, I am not okay. I want to go home."

"Okay, we will go home" He hands me a glass of water and I take a big sip. washing down the taste of my vomit.

"Know that you are always welcome. When you are ready to talk I will be here." My grandmother says while she rubs my back. We get into the car and drive back home. Once we arrive home I immediately head upstairs to Axel's bedroom. I go lay down on the bed and stare at the ceiling.

All this time I thought Axel's father was the one who killed my mother. But it was my father. He killed his own mate when he was the one at fault. He cheated on my mother and killed her when she found out. My stomach turns again at the thought alone. How could he? His own mate. I knew my dad was strict and wanted his way. But I never knew he was a bloody monster.

This is too much. I don't want to think about it, but it is all I can think about. It's like I never knew
