POV Kristy
School goes by in a flash. After training, I decided to go visit my aunt in the clinic. My aunt is the pack's doctor and runs the clinic. I always dreamed of being a doctor. Even though I know that’s not going to happen, I still enjoy going to the clinic. My aunt lets me help with small things. Ever since I was a teenager I have been pulling thorns out of some of the wolves who fell into them. Mostly kids. When I wasn’t able to help I was in the clinic's library. I found it fascinating. Our body’s, both wolf and human. So many similarities yet so different.I walk into my aunt's office. She’s sitting at her desk doing some paperwork. As I walk in she looks up.“Hello, sweetheart,” she says with a smile.“Hi” I go sit in front of her on the patient's chair.“How have you been, haven’t seen you in a while. ““I'm okay. Dad grounded me"“Why? What did you do?" she chuckles.“I went for a run at night and crossed the border"“Well, that’s not realWe arrive at the big old tree. I shift back and put on some clothes Vicky carried for me before walking over to Axel, who is only wearing shorts. He grabs my face and pecks my lips. “Hello gorgeous,” he says and looks me straight in my eyes.“What is it with you and the word gorgeous”“It meant nothing to me until I met you" I roll my eyes and walk over to the tree and sit down. Axel sits next to me and pulls me into his lap. I stare into his eyes and get lost in his sparkly green eyes for a minute. For a minute I forget all the bad things.“How was your day," he asks and plays with my hair. “My day was good until I had a huge blowout with my dad. He said my behaviour is unacceptable and that I embarrassed him. All I did was go to my aunt's clinic and read medical books in the library.”“Wauw, your Father really is a cunt"“Yes, tell me about it. So how was your day?”“Could have been better. This morning my patrolmen were attacked by rogue wolves. Among th
Last night another fighter of our pack died of his wounds. This means war. I have been up all night trying to figure out how we can fight these wolves. About how I am going to make them suffer. But also Elsa. She was just 21 years old and already lost her mate. Left to raise their child on her own. Well, she is not exactly alone. She has me and the pack, even though it won't be the same without him. My men are still out there trying to find these wolves. I am worried. Worried for their safety. On the other hand, all my mind can think about is how I want to kill each one of them. I can feel Onyx pressing underneath my skin. He wants to go out for a run. Honestly, it’s not a crazy idea. Get some of this anger out. I walk over to my closet and change in a clean pair of shorts before heading downstairs. I walk by the room next to mine where Elsa is still sleeping. She must be exhausted. Elsa was crying all night until she was too tired and fell asleep. I head for the back door wh
The funeral was over. Now the grieving really starts. The packhouse was filled with pack members. Inside and outside. Everyone was sharing memories they had. But not me. Everyone has paid their respects for my brother's passing. But my mind wasn’t here. All I could think about was the wolves that have killed my brother. The anger was consuming me. My fighters have still not found the wolves or their hiding spot. I keep thinking about strategies for how we can kill them and even capture one of them. I need answers. How is it possible that their claws have wolfsbane in them? What kind of witchcraft is that. I have never heard of it before. Not even legends. “My condolences Alpha," one of my pack members says interrupting my thoughts. I nod to him. I just don’t know what to say. I have been nodding and saying thank you. No other words seem to be able to leave my mouth. I can’t wait for this day to be over.POV Kristy It’s the next day. I told my father I have a school pr
I wake up, feeling like I am hit by a bus. My vision is blurred, and I try to blink it away. Where the bloody hell am I. I try t get up but feel I am chained up against the floor, with heavy steel chains both my arms and legs are chained up on the ring on the floor. Leaving me with limited room to move. I try pulling the chains, but no luck there. I am still weak from the wolfsbane they injected me with. When I finally can see something, I realize I am in the cells, by the looks of the concrete wall and the steel door I can tell I am still on our territory. My great-grandfather made these cells. They are located near the school in the forest. But why am I still on our territory? Who took me? And why?"Hello? Anyone out there?" I ask, but no one answers. The heavy steel door opens. My father steps inside followed by two men. "DAD," I say relieved, I knew it would not take long for him to come and find me. He walks over to the cell I am in, "Dad, someone took me. Why did th
POV Kristy. My head is pounding. Waking up from the punch that knocked me out, I rub the side of my forehead when I feel the blood drip down my face. I try to get up but no use to that. I am still chained to the floor in the cell."Are you alright there, love? Taking a little nap."When I look up I notice Matthias."You" I growl at him. "Me," he laughs. "I told you I was going to be your mate. You should have been nicer to me. It did not have to come to this Kristy. But, here we are. You have nowhere to go. Your father has given very clear orders. I am here to mark you. Claim what is rightfully mine. So maybe you should have thought about getting to know me a little bit better before lashing at me. Admit it, you like it. You like me, you are just too afraid to admit it. You love the way I chase you. My hot muscular body. You want me as much as I want you. I see the way you look at me in training." He says, slowly getting closer to the cell I am in."Yo
POV Axel. I rush to the pack's clinic with Kristy in my arms. I already mind-linked our pack's doctor. When we arrive at the clinic the doctor is ready for us waiting at the entrance with a gurney. I put her on the gurney quickly and the doctor and nurses rushed her to an emergency room."I already took out the bullet but she is not waking up.""We got it from here Alpha. We got her." The doctor tells me. I stand back and watch the doctor and nursers hook her up on an IV and examine her. "Please Alpha, go sit in the waiting room we got her. We will call you when needed." A nurse escorts me to the waiting room where I go sit down on one of the hard plastic chairs.I hope I made the right choice to not go to her aunt's clinic. I did not trust it. Not anyone at this point. Her own bloody father took her and even shot her with a silver bullet. How could I trust that someone from his pack would take good care of her? I just hope I made the right choice co
POV KristyI have been staring out the window in Axel's bedroom all day. Trying to wrap my head around what happened last night. My father kidnapped me, locked me up in the cells. He wanted to let Matthias mark me. A bloody jerk with no brain cells. When I was able to escape he freaking shot me with a silver bullet. Who would do that to their own bloody daughter? How did he even know Axel is my mate. I did not tell him. I did not notice anyone following me to the big old tree. I sure as hell don't think my aunt or Olivia would betray me. One of his men must have seen us there is no other explanation. A nice lady brought me some clothes. Ester was her name I think. Not exactly my style but better than Axel's clothes that are way too big for me. Although I love wearing his t-shirt, it's covered in his scent. It calms me down smelling him. "Here you go hun, eat something," Axel says while holding out a plate with food to me."I am not hungry.""You have to eat. You
"What do you mean that is not what happened?" I say confused. What does he mean? His father did not kill my mother? Then who did? "My father did not kill your mother, Kristy. Is that what your father told you? What exactly did he tell you?""Not much, that is why I asked. I still have so many questions about my mother's death. Every time I brought it up to my dad he would just get angry, so I stopped asking.""Alright come on let's go," Axel says and he gets out of the water."Go where? Why can't you just tell me what happened?""I can but you'll have a lot of questions. Questions I can not answer.""Who? Where are we going? please just tell me.""You will see," Axel says and he shifts back to his wolf form and runs back to his car. I get out of the water quickly shifting and chasing after him. I try to catch my breath when we arrive at the tree line where we left out clothes and put them on."Can't you just tell me?" I ask Axel when he gets
