Stormie

“Momma where are we going?” I asked rubbing the sleep from my eyes as my mom carried me out of the house.

“Hush now. We’re going to go get some help from some friends baby. You’re gonna ride on daddy’s back until we get there ok? Put your coat on and put the hood up,” my mother said, gently placing me on my father’s furry back after helping me get my coat on. I rubbed my face in his fur, smiling as it tickled my face and I breathed in his familiar scent.

“But momma it’s still night time,” I said sleepily into his fur as I heard my mom move around.

“I know sweetie, but if we don’t leave now the bad man will come and take you away remember?” my mother said and I nodded sadly. “Daddy and I are going to take you somewhere safe so hold on tight and don’t let go.”

I wrapped my arms around my dad’s neck just like they taught me and watched as my mother shifted into her wolf too. She was smaller than my dad but still just as pretty, a light grey to daddy's dark grey. My mother nudged my arms with her cold wet nose before doing the same to my father’s side. Then we were off. There were a few other wolves running with us, but it was too dark for me to tell who they were.

We ran for what felt like forever but in reality was probably only a day and a half, stopping only for food and rest. The running lulled me back to sleep until I was swiftly grabbed off of my dad's back. I was going to cry out until I felt a hand cover my mouth and heard my mother whisper in my ear, “it’s ok. It’s me. I need you to stay here until I come for you do you understand? Don’t make a sound sweetie.” She placed me in the hollow of the tree before stepping back and I watched as the bushes covered me before I heard her shift back into her wolf and run off.

I could hear howls not far off and growls nearby. I held my tiny fist to my mouth to help keep me quiet while I waited on my mom to come back and get me. The sounds got louder and I could hear cries of pain and the sound of bodies hitting each other, fighting. Tears began to run down my cheeks as fear took over me. Suddenly my chest hurt and I knew something happened to my mother or father. I heard a loud howl of pain and then a fierce growl that sounded like my dad. Then I felt the pain again before the silence took over. I couldn’t handle the pain and doubled over, my wolf pushing forward to protect us. It was painful but I didn’t cry out as I shifted.

I laid there, waiting for what felt like hours before creeping out from the bushes to go find my parents. The forest was silent as my wolf kept low to the ground and worked to pick up their scent. I found my mother first and whined and nudged her, trying to wake her up. There were bodies everywhere and the pungent smell of blood overwhelmed my senses. I saw my father’s body not far away and tried to wake him up too, rubbing against him and pawing at him.  I laid against him crying silently until the sky began to lighten.  I heard the pounding of paws against the earth and stood up exhausted, ready to protect my parents.

As wolves entered the clearing we were in I growled, ready to attack.  The wolves stopped and I watched as they looked around still glancing over at me.  The largest wolf I'd ever seen shifted back into his human form and said "Shift".

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Stormie! We're leaving in 30 minutes.  If you want time for breakfast you need to be up," that same voice now woke my from my dream.  Well, not a dream really, a memory or a nightmare.  I sat up in bed, covered in sweat and I could still feel my pulsse racing.  I got up and jumped in the shower hoping to wash away the last memory of my parents, their souless eyes haunting me.

I was lucky Alpha Adam, or Dad as I called him now, found me that day and brought me home all those years ago.  I had a family again and was happy again.

I dressed quickly throwing on my usual Elite gear - one that was custom fit for me. My top was a sleeveless armored crop top that was designed to protect my heart but allow me plenty of mobility.  It also allowed everyone to see the warrior honor tattoos from the pack on my left arm - just like the others in the Elite 8.  They signified who I was and what I was capable of - what I had worked hard to earn.

After Alpha Adam adopted me I trained hard beside his sons - my brothers - and I had been the youngest female warrior ever at 14.  He created the Elite 8 for us after that and for the last 3 years we worked hard to hone our skills, individually and as a team.

My tight fighting pants felt like a second skin and were tucked neatly into my calf high boots.  Even though we were meeting with the king and the other alphas I still had my knives strapped on my thighs and wrists and tucked into my boots.  Better to be over prepared than under prepared my dad would say. My white hair was damp still flowing down my back as I looked over my reflection.  Vibrant blue grey eyes stared back at me as I looked myself over once more. I brushed the hair from my face and over the creseant moon that was marked on my forehead.

The moon kiss was a gift from the goddess herself after my 16th birthday.  She'd come to me in a dream and left just as quickly, leaving me moon kissed and giving me back the voice I'd lost after the death of my birth parents.  Even now, almost 2 years after getting my voice back I still prefered the sign language Luna Helena, Mom, had spent years teaching me. I could mind link as well, it just depended on my mood.

I threw on my cape and double checked my bags, making sure I had everything packed that I needed before heading down so my mom could braid my hair before we left.  I chewed on my lip as I carried my bags down and set them by the door next to my dad's.  I can't remember ever being this nervous before but I knew I'd be seeing Tristan for the first time in almost 14 years.  He was king now and was the one calling for our services.

He was said to be rather ruthless on the battle field having assisted in fighting off rogues and vampires and that his wolf was a real beast - midnight black and even bigger than his father’s. He had made a lot of improvements and progress in the almost 8 years since he took over including getting rid of a lot of older traditions like no female alphas and the way omegas were treated.

He had been the first friend I'd made after the death of my birth parents.  I'd been stuck in my wolf form at the castle when we'd met one night in the gardens there.  I smiled softly thinking about the handsome boy who spent most evenings telling me stories and making me feel less alone.

I made it down to the dinning room and saw my mom was ready with a brush and a hair tie.

"You knew?" I signed to her smiling.  She nodded and said "Of course.  You have to look your best today baby girl.  You're being presented to the king and the other alphas. "  I stood in front of her and let her do her super fancy braid for my hair.

'You're fidgetting.  Are you nervous Stormie?' she mind linked me.

I blushed, not realizing I was moving.  'Sorry mom.  Yes.  Do you think he'll remember me?' I linked her back.  I glanced over at my dad who was sitting at the table drinking his coffee and reading over his emails before we left.  I didn't want him to know that I was nervous over this meeting... well more over seeing Tristan.

'Well other than the fact that you will be walking in on two legs instead of four and with much less fur,' she started before I cut her off.

'Mom,' I linked her, rolling my eyes.  She laughed and linked back 'I'm sure he'll still recognize you dear.  He asked about you each time your father went to see them.  I'm sure he'll be pleased to see what a beautiful woman you've grown into.'

I smiled and replied through our link, 'You have to say that, you're my mom.'  She finished tying off my braid and then kissed my forehead.  "All done.  Now get your plate quickly because I hear your brothers coming down already," she said motioning her head to the plates of food on the counter.

I grabbed one and sat down eating quickly as my brothers dropped their luggage by the door and joined us.  Breakfast was a quiet affair as it was still quite early, even for us.  It was a three hour drive to the castle from here and dad had to be there in time for the start of the meeting at 7.  The only good thing would be getting to see the sun rise in the gardens again.

There was a knock at the door and we knew that meant it was time to go.  I put my dishes in the dishwasher and walked back to say goodbye to my mom.  She hugged me tight resting her chin on my shoulder and whispering "No matter what you keep you chin up.  You've earned your right just like everyone else.  Don't let those stubborn old fashioned idiots push you around.  Remember the women can be worse than the men.  Always watch your back daughter."

I nodded back to her and kissed her cheek before heading out the door.  My brothers said their goodbye before my father took his turn.  I smiled when Arkin honked the horn at him startling both our parents who split apart like a pair of naughty kids.  Aerick stuck his head out the window and said "We don't want to be late dad" before sitting back in his seat next to me.  The other Elite were in the car behind us waiting.  Finally after one last kiss, my father got in the front seat and we were off.

Tristan POVI listened as Alpha Adam spoke about the increase in rogue activity around the kingdom, several of the others chiming in about attacks that they had experienced as well. They appeared to be working together in larger and larger groups and attacks were becoming more strategic and less like the random rogue issues. I was hoping that getting the alphas together could generate some ideas on how best to deal with the rogue issue. I asked Alpha Adam to bring his Elite 8 along to discuss what they'd seen while out hunting rogues, to get any insight AND to brush up the training for my royal guards. I was actually looking forward to finally meeting them, the strongest warriors of my kingdom. With these rogues pushing forward, it was even more important now to have my guards ready for a fight and who best to oversee their training than the Elite 8.I had gotten regular updates on them since their inception. I knew that the other alphas were curious about them as well, especial

She must have asked her brother to repeat the name which he did. Suddenly she ran over to the desk and pushed my beta out of the way to see the map we had been pouring over. When she found them on the map she growled loudly and said “It’s them.”Her voice was just a beautiful outloud as in my head and her growl made my wolf shiver in excitement.Alpha Adam stood up and asked her how she knew. She was signing so quickly he had to have her slow down and repeat it. By then all of the Elites had moved closer to see what she was signing. I watched her amazed at how quickly she could move her hands before I noticed the tears on her cheeks. The Elites moved in closer to her to comfort her and both me and my wolf wished we c

StormieI wiggled my nose a little, unsure of how to answer. Luckily my father stepped in and answered for me.“She can. She’s like an alpha but more. She has to focus when she does it and too much can be draining.”“She can even link to rogues, which was quite fun,” Matthew said before high fiving Alton. Tristan raised his brow in question towards me and I watched Arkin shook his head and rolled his eyes at them. “You don’t want to know,” he said. Tristan looked at me with a grin that stole my breath and made my wolf start panting. I knew he wanted to know, he eyes alight with curiousity. He asked through the link 'What did you do little wolf?'My pulse picked at his nickname for me and I took a deep breath before linking him back.'Well the first time it was an accident. Apparently I was projecting and they overheard me talking shit about their smell and then started fighting each other thinking the name calling had come from the other one. TristanI was extra picky with my wardrobe tonight and was no running late. My nerves were all over the place and my wolf was still going crazy. When Stormie had turned those beautiful eyes on me and asked if I was soft, oh Goddess I was suddenly rock hard. And I'd almost told her that. She was still a child - not yet 18 - but my wolf wanted to sink his teeth into her. I finally made my way into the waiting room right as they announced dinner. I felt my heart almost stop when my eyes finally landed on Stormie, who was standing with her father talking to my parents. She looked like the moon and the sky with her beautiful white hair and midnight blue dress. Her creamy skin was on display and my eyes caressed over her tattoos before smiling when I saw the knives on her wrists. A beautiful but deadly creature. I had to remind myself again as I discreetly adjusted myself that she was a friend, the daughter of an alpha and only 17. I shook my head and pushed my wolf to the back of

Stormie The next morning I made my way out to the training field with the other Elite. I noticed they were moving a little sluggishly this morning and smiled. I guess my brothers weren't the only ones that came back absolutely trashed last night. Good thing they were werewolves. The guys were wearing their usual loose shorts and tank tops while I had thrown on my usual tight shorts and sports bra. I did throw a tank top on at the request of my brothers and put my hair in a bun on the top of my head. My father and Arkin had agreed to work with the king's guard for the next few days so here we were. Arkin had spoken to the other warriors from our pack and they would arrive tomorrow and aid in the training as well. I stood in my usual spot towards the middle of our group while Arkin divided the king's guard into groups and assigning two of us per group. I'm paired with Aerick like usual. We get right to w

Stormie The next morning I woke up in my bed, not knowing how I got here. When I looked over at the clock I realized I'd have to figure that mystery out later as it was almost time to meet at the training grounds. Even Tristan's father said he would be there to observe today. I dressed quickly and then made my way out to join the others. My father Adam addressed the entire group today and explained why it was important to hone as many of skills in each person as possible. A few of the royal warriors scoffed and my father smiled. I noticed Tristan standing with his father and his beta and when we made eye contact we both smiled. He called me up for a demonstration. I was going to go up against their beta to show that just because you are bgger doesn't guarantee you a win, you have to use your brain. I had a training set of arrows with dye puffs instead of points and wooden kives coated in a dye that would mark their skin when it came in contact. I put ont the bulkier wrist an

TistanWe were all dismissed for the day, but after sparring with Stormie I was so worked up that I told my father that I was going for a run. He smiled at me, a gleam in his eye and told me to be safe. I shifted into my wolf and ran. I enjoyed my evening chasing down some rabbits and just relaxing in the forest until I knew it was time to return. On my way back I smelled the Elite out in the forest and began to stalk them to see what they were up to. I spotted them in a clearing not far from me all in their wolf forms. They were all dark colored, nearly black with slight differences on their legs, tail or underside. I could identify them fairly easily without having to scent them. Stormie however was still the same snowy white like before only now she had a black creasant moon on her forehead just like she did in her human form. I watched as they played tag or wrestled with each other. Really I mostly watched Stormie, her lithe form gliding around the clearing tackling the

Tristan I raised my brow at him and his grin just widened. I shook my head and returned to my work. A few minutes later the stewardess finally made her way towards us. I asked for coffee, definately needing it today and Cristella asked for some sort of fancy water. Within minutes I heard a loud bang and looked up to see Cristella ungracefully sprawled in the aisle asleep or passed out I wasn't sure. I heard the snickers of the Elite and shook my head as Arkin bend down and placed Cristella back in a seat, buckling her in. "Really? That's what you came up with?" I asked trying to hide my grin. "It was the easiest way. She'll be out for 5 or 6 hours," he replied taking his seat again. One of the others chimed in "Yea, plus her voice is hella annoying. Like worse than nails on a chalk board." Everyone laughed and I looked over to see Stormie's reaction and realized she was passed out too. "Did you drug her too?" I asked holding back my anger. Stormie Our mating ceremony had been perfect. A bright blue moon shone down on us iluminating the stage as a blessing from the moon goddess. We celebrated til the early morning with family, friends and so many well wishers. I was so excited to start our future together. We spent our honeymoon at a castle by the coast and found out a few weeks later that we can back with a surprise - our first son Gabriel. Now, 10 years and 3 more boys later, our family was growing again. I smiled and placed my hand on my gowing belly feeling our daughter kick as I watched our boys play in the garden with their cousins. This spot had been special to me and Tristan and we decided it would be perfect to continue making great memories here with our family. I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around me, pulling me close and I sighed contently."How are my girls doing?" Tristan whispered in my ear, placing his large hand over mine. "We're fine. She's just moving around. She's very active," I said

StormieThe trial had gone to plan and I was proud of my uncle and grateful to my mate that he allowed him the opportunity. I was a little surprised that he had turned down the alpha position and when he called for my borther I shot up out of my seat, looking wildly at Tristan and then watching my brother and his mate Sarah make their way forward to stand in the front near Z. I held my breath while Tristan spoke."Aerick, you have proven yourself in battle over the last several years and have done a great job of assisting your brother in both his alpha heir duties and his duties as leader of the Elite. You have just recently found your mate correct?" He asked loudly, even though he already knew the answer. The wheels in my head began to turn.Aerick's voice rang out loud and clear. "Yes, your highness. My mate is Sarah, first born daughter to Alpha Fredrick of Forest Moon," he replied."So you both come from alpha lines, two of the strongest and most loyal packs in the kingdom?"

TristanOnce Stormie goes off to work on things for our ceremony tomorrow the rest of us work to put together a rough time line as well as organizing the information in the order that it will be presented. We've got lots of more recent photos for proof as well thanks to Azaziel's people and we make sure that we have included that. "How is the pack there now? Since most of your group was from there, are you reconciling them?" I asked waiting to see how they were handling it now that the alpha and the rogues were gone. Azaziel explained how they had moved in and taken over abandoned houses and that there was a lot of clean up and fix up going on right now to get the pack back to the condition it needed to be in. It was going to take some work, but most of the pack was more than excited to see them go. Almost all of the Blood Moon pack who had fought along side the trailorous alpha and his son had been killed in the battle. The few that we left were being held in the prision for

StormieI wasn't surprised to see the dresses my mother had picked out. I was actually grateful as she picked several that were skorts - having the shorts show in the front and the dress flowing down the back and almost all of them had no sleeves so I could still wear my gear. Tristan smiled at me when I came out wearing one and joked about getting me different gear sets that could match my outfits. I smiled at him, excited at the prospect. I knew the chances of me needing them were really low and once I was more comfortable in my role I probably wouldn't wear them or at least not all of them at once, but it would take time. Once we are ready Tristan and I head down and join his parents and his beta for the services to honor the fallen from this pack. Tristan gives a very good speech while I stand by his side and then he asked me if I'd like to say a few words. I was shocked but at the same time I knew this was something I'd need to get used to. I felt the same way but unfortunately we had important business today.'Soon little wolf, soon. StormieMy mate. That was the only comprehensible thought in my mind. Mine. Tristan was mine. They cheered for us but all I could think of was how good he smelled and the feel of his arms around me. At some point I know that he walked me back to where his parents were waiting and mine joined us, my mom and his both crying. My father and Aerick both hugged me, both telling me how proud they were. Soon enough many others came up to where we were seated to offer congradulations. After thanking so many people who I knew I wouldn't remember, Tristan led me out onto the dance floor where he held me close as we danced for a few songs. I felt like I was in dream and I just knew I probably had a goofy grin on my face. StormieI was nervous to say the least, but something in me compelled me. I picked out a song the girls had played for me awhile back. It was from a girl group they liked and I fell in love with the song from the minute they played it. When I decided that I was going to sing I knew that this song would be perfect.I was so lucky my mom was on board with this and after helping me get ready went to go speak with the band before getting herself ready. My father would be returning soon to get ready and I was sure my brother and his mate were doing the same. I went over the song in my head and sang a few notes outloud. As soon as I began our meeting and told them that we'd attacked the rogues last night he had paled and tried to escape while the other alphas were loudly arguing. Alpha Adam had been hot on his heels and as soon as I spotted him near the door I'd called out to him, halting him in his tracks. The stiffness of his body and the look in his eyes like a wild animal caught in a trap were a dead give away. Alpha Adam had escorted him to the head of the table and stood nearby as I settled the other alphas and explained what was really going on. I could see Alpha Robert's desire to fight was begining to surface and so I quickly threw his charges out there and had them arrest him on the spot offically declaring him a traitor.
