We had narrowed it down to 10 possible packs and were discussing the Blood Moon pack when Stormie's head whipped around so quickly that her braid smacked the window loudly and suddenly we were all watching her She was pale and had a frown on her beautiful face. She must have asked her brother to repeat the name which he did. Suddenly she ran over to the desk and pushed my beta out of the way to see the map we had been pouring over. When she found them on the map she growled loudly and said “It’s them.”
Her voice was just a beautiful outloud as in my head and her growl made my wolf shiver in excitement.
Alpha Adam stood up and asked her how she knew. She was signing so quickly he had to have her slow down and repeat it. By then all of the Elites had moved closer to see what she was signing. I watched her amazed at how quickly she could move her hands before I noticed the tears on her cheeks. The Elites moved in closer to her to comfort her and both me and my wolf wished we could as well. Her tears felt like daggers to my heart and were making my wolf angry.
My beta tried to interrupt but Alpha Adam apologized and asked for a minute while she finished. He pulled her in for a hug when she finished and then released her wiping the tears from her cheeks. You could see how close they were. He asked her why she didn’t say something sooner and she replied in sign. I decided at that moment that I was going to be learning sign in the very near future.
Alpha Adam nodded in understanding and turned back to me while the Elite moved in closer to Stormie. I had to hold back a growl feeling jealous of their closeness and I wondered if she remembered our time together the week she had first arrived. Her sad cries had called out to me then and her tears now were even worse.
Alpha Adam explained that this was Stormie’s old pack. She didn’t remember much except that her parents had told her they were leaving that night because the alpha had told them that he was going to take her away. She remembered her parents saying that the alpha was a bad man and she remembers seeing beatings, and hearing of neighbors getting thrown into the dungeon and never seeing them again. She said they told her they were taking her somewhere safe and going to get help.
He explained that Stormie said that the alpha probably recognized her today because of her hair. She said she couldn’t remember the name before as she had been so little when they left and to date the Elite hadn’t gotten any orders for around their pack so she hadn’t heard the pack name before.
Sandess and anger both fought for dominance in my heart. I ran my fingers through my hair and paced a little before speaking to Stormie through the link. I asked her why she didn’t just tell me all of that instead of signing it and making her father repeat it. She stood there frowning at me, her cheeks slightly flushed. I then asked her 'Don’t you remember me little wolf?'
I watched her flush turn into a blush before she repllied 'Of course I remember you, my king. You were my first friend here, well really my only friend here.' She bowed her head slightly to me before continuing, her eyes sparkling. 'But you are no longer the boy you were back then, just a young prince. Now you are grown and a king no less.'
I smiled before replying back 'And you too have grown. No longer the grumpy little ankle biter, but now a beautiful fierce warrior. One who doesn’t hold her tongue, or well her hands I guess I should say.'
Her blush deepened and she laughed out loud, causing every head in the room to turn to her in surprise. It was a husky and almost sensual sound that had my wolf practically panting in my head. She pointed to her head and scrunched up her nose in a gesture I assumed meant that it was something funny in her head.
“This pack is bad news. I only have glimpses of memories, more like strong feelings about situations I guess, she said in my head before walking back towards the map. Out loud she said “We should start here, This area I believe is lightly wooded, not dense. Better for camp. ”
I could tell she did not often speak out loud as most of the faces around the room had a stunned look on them. I watched as she looked up and frowned at them and wrinkled her nose again before stating softly “Just because I choose not to speak does not mean that I am mute.” Her face was so expressive and I watched her facinated.
Her father stepped in and said “We were just all surprised to hear your beautiful voice with our ears instead of in our heads my dear child. ” She smiled back at him and I could see the love between them.
“If we start there what reason would we have as to why the Elite 8 are there,” my beta, Anders, asked. Aerick stepped in and stated, “Well we have a few options. You can say that we are inspecting all packs and surrounding areas for more info on this, but you would need to divide us to make it believable. We could sneak in and just knock out the guards but chances are someone’s gonna spot Stormie. Her fur is too light. The only thing that helps it is charcoal powder and well ... that didn’t turn out so great either.” Stormie flared her nose and growled at him while the other Elites looked like they were holding back laughter. I could tell there was a story there and hoped to hear it at some point.
“Or Stormie can call her friends and maybe have some rogues do a few small attacks around that pack so we have a reason to go,” Aerick finished. His words sparked chaos in the room as Stormie started signing furiously while striding over to him. Anders and Caleb, my gamma, began yelling about treason while my father was trying to ask questions. The Elite were all yelling at Aerick, who was backing away with his hands up. Goddess help me. I growled loudly before yelling for silence and immediately everyone stopped except Stormie who punched her brother, the only sound being the smack of her fist against his skin and of him falling over a chair.
I rubbed his temple before continuing. “I know I am going to regret this but Stormie please explain,” I said watching her. She growled at her brother as he picked himself and the chair up before sitting down and rubbing his jaw where she hit him. She put her hands up to her temples and spoke through the link.
'Not quite a year ago during one of our take downs of a camp we found two teen girls - sisters one wolf, one witch. They were rogue because their parents were banished for being each others mates - a wolf and a witch. So all they’ve known is rogue life. Their parents had died a few years before and the girls just stayed with the rogues and took care of the camp. No one bothered them and they enjoyed their freedom - it was the only life they’d known. They instantly took to me like kindred spirits. They stayed with our pack for awhile learning sign and some self defense and what not.'
“They were Stormie’s shadows,” Aerick said out loud.
I grinned at that remembering when she was my shadow. She smiled too her eyes bright probably remembering the same.
'Yes much the same just less furry' she linked to me, giggling. A sound that shot straight to my loins. She continued.
'My father had asked them to join our pack and they declined, preferring to be nomads. They’ve kept in touch. I’ve always been able to find them like some invisible connection. But they enjoyed moving around, floating through random rogue camps and towns, sometimes collecting information for us, helping us set up the bad rogues and stealing their supplies. Sometimes just being general nuisances. They’re rogue but not. More like nomads. I'm sure the girls could find some rogues and rile them up to attack but if what we think is true then they could get hurt. What if they approach the wrong rogues - the ones in league with the alpha?'
Aerick replied “Why don’t you have them find some of the other nomadic wolves - those who aren’t a part of the New Force and just want to be left alone.” When I heard his reply I looked around the room and realized that she had linked all of us at once, the look on Anders and Caleb's faces relaying their shock.
'But what would make them want to attack a pack? It’s not their way Aerick, that’s the whole point,' Stormie replied to her brother. When she shrugged I realized that was all she had to say.
My father, King Travis asked “You can link to others outside of your pack and you can link to multiples?” I blinked at him a few times almost in disbelief. We're in the middle of a discussion over rogues and a pack or an alpha potentially going against us and that's all he's got to say?
StormieI wiggled my nose a little, unsure of how to answer. Luckily my father stepped in and answered for me.“She can. She’s like an alpha but more. She has to focus when she does it and too much can be draining.”“She can even link to rogues, which was quite fun,” Matthew said before high fiving Alton. Tristan raised his brow in question towards me and I watched Arkin shook his head and rolled his eyes at them. “You don’t want to know,” he said. Tristan looked at me with a grin that stole my breath and made my wolf start panting. I knew he wanted to know, he eyes alight with curiousity. He asked through the link 'What did you do little wolf?'My pulse picked at his nickname for me and I took a deep breath before linking him back.'Well the first time it was an accident. Apparently I was projecting and they overheard me talking shit about their smell and then started fighting each other thinking the name calling had come from the other one. Once we realized, well the easiest way
TristanI was extra picky with my wardrobe tonight and was no running late. My nerves were all over the place and my wolf was still going crazy. When Stormie had turned those beautiful eyes on me and asked if I was soft, oh Goddess I was suddenly rock hard. And I'd almost told her that. She was still a child - not yet 18 - but my wolf wanted to sink his teeth into her. I finally made my way into the waiting room right as they announced dinner. I felt my heart almost stop when my eyes finally landed on Stormie, who was standing with her father talking to my parents. She looked like the moon and the sky with her beautiful white hair and midnight blue dress. Her creamy skin was on display and my eyes caressed over her tattoos before smiling when I saw the knives on her wrists. A beautiful but deadly creature. I had to remind myself again as I discreetly adjusted myself that she was a friend, the daughter of an alpha and only 17. I shook my head and pushed my wolf to the back of
Stormie The next morning I made my way out to the training field with the other Elite. I noticed they were moving a little sluggishly this morning and smiled. I guess my brothers weren't the only ones that came back absolutely trashed last night. Good thing they were werewolves. The guys were wearing their usual loose shorts and tank tops while I had thrown on my usual tight shorts and sports bra. I did throw a tank top on at the request of my brothers and put my hair in a bun on the top of my head. My father and Arkin had agreed to work with the king's guard for the next few days so here we were. Arkin had spoken to the other warriors from our pack and they would arrive tomorrow and aid in the training as well. I stood in my usual spot towards the middle of our group while Arkin divided the king's guard into groups and assigning two of us per group. I'm paired with Aerick like usual. We get right to w
Stormie The next morning I woke up in my bed, not knowing how I got here. When I looked over at the clock I realized I'd have to figure that mystery out later as it was almost time to meet at the training grounds. Even Tristan's father said he would be there to observe today. I dressed quickly and then made my way out to join the others. My father Adam addressed the entire group today and explained why it was important to hone as many of skills in each person as possible. A few of the royal warriors scoffed and my father smiled. I noticed Tristan standing with his father and his beta and when we made eye contact we both smiled. He called me up for a demonstration. I was going to go up against their beta to show that just because you are bgger doesn't guarantee you a win, you have to use your brain. I had a training set of arrows with dye puffs instead of points and wooden kives coated in a dye that would mark their skin when it came in contact. I put ont the bulkier wrist an
TistanWe were all dismissed for the day, but after sparring with Stormie I was so worked up that I told my father that I was going for a run. He smiled at me, a gleam in his eye and told me to be safe. I shifted into my wolf and ran. I enjoyed my evening chasing down some rabbits and just relaxing in the forest until I knew it was time to return. On my way back I smelled the Elite out in the forest and began to stalk them to see what they were up to. I spotted them in a clearing not far from me all in their wolf forms. They were all dark colored, nearly black with slight differences on their legs, tail or underside. I could identify them fairly easily without having to scent them. Stormie however was still the same snowy white like before only now she had a black creasant moon on her forehead just like she did in her human form. I watched as they played tag or wrestled with each other. Really I mostly watched Stormie, her lithe form gliding around the clearing tackling the
Tristan I raised my brow at him and his grin just widened. I shook my head and returned to my work. A few minutes later the stewardess finally made her way towards us. I asked for coffee, definately needing it today and Cristella asked for some sort of fancy water. Within minutes I heard a loud bang and looked up to see Cristella ungracefully sprawled in the aisle asleep or passed out I wasn't sure. I heard the snickers of the Elite and shook my head as Arkin bend down and placed Cristella back in a seat, buckling her in. "Really? That's what you came up with?" I asked trying to hide my grin. "It was the easiest way. She'll be out for 5 or 6 hours," he replied taking his seat again. One of the others chimed in "Yea, plus her voice is hella annoying. Like worse than nails on a chalk board." Everyone laughed and I looked over to see Stormie's reaction and realized she was passed out too. "Did you drug her too?" I asked holding back my anger. Aerick looked over to the sma
Stormie Meeting the girls had gone well and while I did not like the idea of traveling with Cristella I understood the reasons behind it. Hopefully she would stay far enough away from me and I would definately be avoiding her. We were geared up and ready to go once the cars pulled up. I said goodbye to Arkin and the others and then loaded back into the cars for the remainder of the journey. Aerick woke me once we hit the pack's boarder and the other guards in the car with Cristella woke her as well. We had a specific way that we had discussed getting out of the cars as well as how we would be traveling with the king when we was around the pack. Arkin or Aerick or myself would be by his side anytime he was out of his room and we would ensure that the pack house was checked prior to going to our rooms. I was second out of the car and stood off to the left so that Tristan could step out Areick right behind him. Cristella and the other guards had already gotten out first and
Tristan It took me awhile to get back to sleep in my aroused state. My room still smelled faintly of her but was gone by the time I was up in the morning. The alpha had arranged for the tour of his pack after breakfast. Cristella would be going with the alpha and I as well as Aerick and three other guards. The luna and beta would ensure that everything was ready for tonight and handle anyother pack business that popped up. Stormie was staying behind and when I asked her during breakfast she told me she was waiting for the girls to call today. The alpha took me around the entirety of his pack. We visited the school and the hospital and most of the businesses until mid afternoon. While he did not have any rogue attacks to speak of he did request some additional funding for some upgrades that we discussed while on tour. His pack was well maintained and I could see that the funds would be spent well. Cristella actually took very good notes and was nothing short of professiona
Stormie Our mating ceremony had been perfect. A bright blue moon shone down on us iluminating the stage as a blessing from the moon goddess. We celebrated til the early morning with family, friends and so many well wishers. I was so excited to start our future together. We spent our honeymoon at a castle by the coast and found out a few weeks later that we can back with a surprise - our first son Gabriel. Now, 10 years and 3 more boys later, our family was growing again. I smiled and placed my hand on my gowing belly feeling our daughter kick as I watched our boys play in the garden with their cousins. This spot had been special to me and Tristan and we decided it would be perfect to continue making great memories here with our family. I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around me, pulling me close and I sighed contently."How are my girls doing?" Tristan whispered in my ear, placing his large hand over mine. "We're fine. She's just moving around. She's very active," I said
StormieThe trial had gone to plan and I was proud of my uncle and grateful to my mate that he allowed him the opportunity. I was a little surprised that he had turned down the alpha position and when he called for my borther I shot up out of my seat, looking wildly at Tristan and then watching my brother and his mate Sarah make their way forward to stand in the front near Z. I held my breath while Tristan spoke."Aerick, you have proven yourself in battle over the last several years and have done a great job of assisting your brother in both his alpha heir duties and his duties as leader of the Elite. You have just recently found your mate correct?" He asked loudly, even though he already knew the answer. The wheels in my head began to turn.Aerick's voice rang out loud and clear. "Yes, your highness. My mate is Sarah, first born daughter to Alpha Fredrick of Forest Moon," he replied."So you both come from alpha lines, two of the strongest and most loyal packs in the kingdom?"
TristanOnce Stormie goes off to work on things for our ceremony tomorrow the rest of us work to put together a rough time line as well as organizing the information in the order that it will be presented. We've got lots of more recent photos for proof as well thanks to Azaziel's people and we make sure that we have included that. "How is the pack there now? Since most of your group was from there, are you reconciling them?" I asked waiting to see how they were handling it now that the alpha and the rogues were gone. Azaziel explained how they had moved in and taken over abandoned houses and that there was a lot of clean up and fix up going on right now to get the pack back to the condition it needed to be in. It was going to take some work, but most of the pack was more than excited to see them go. Almost all of the Blood Moon pack who had fought along side the trailorous alpha and his son had been killed in the battle. The few that we left were being held in the prision for
StormieI wasn't surprised to see the dresses my mother had picked out. I was actually grateful as she picked several that were skorts - having the shorts show in the front and the dress flowing down the back and almost all of them had no sleeves so I could still wear my gear. Tristan smiled at me when I came out wearing one and joked about getting me different gear sets that could match my outfits. I smiled at him, excited at the prospect. I knew the chances of me needing them were really low and once I was more comfortable in my role I probably wouldn't wear them or at least not all of them at once, but it would take time. Once we are ready Tristan and I head down and join his parents and his beta for the services to honor the fallen from this pack. Tristan gives a very good speech while I stand by his side and then he asked me if I'd like to say a few words. I was shocked but at the same time I knew this was something I'd need to get used to. I thought for a few minutes a
Tristan I knew that we'd need to get up soon, but I wanted to freeze time for just a few more minutes while I watched Stormie sleep. Last night had been the best and I couldn't wait for us t ostart our future together. I watched the sun light dance across her arms and back. I began to trace her tattoos and I felt her stir.'Good morning love,' I linked her, brushed the hair from her face.'hmm is it already? I wish we could just stay in bed today,' she linked back turning her face up for a kiss which I happily obliged. I felt the same way but unfortunately we had important business today.'Soon little wolf, soon. We've got important business today and I'm sure our families would like to celebrate with us,' I said breaking away and getting out of bed. I heard her growl and turned to wink at her before heading to the bathroom. We showered together which led to other things but eventually we made our way downstairs, Stormie was wearing a pair of my boxers as shorts and one of my
StormieMy mate. That was the only comprehensible thought in my mind. Mine. Tristan was mine. They cheered for us but all I could think of was how good he smelled and the feel of his arms around me. At some point I know that he walked me back to where his parents were waiting and mine joined us, my mom and his both crying. My father and Aerick both hugged me, both telling me how proud they were. Soon enough many others came up to where we were seated to offer congradulations. After thanking so many people who I knew I wouldn't remember, Tristan led me out onto the dance floor where he held me close as we danced for a few songs. I felt like I was in dream and I just knew I probably had a goofy grin on my face. Tristan leaned down and whispered in my ear,"I can't wait to get you alone Mate."I laughed in glee hearing those words from his mouth before whispering back "So why are we still here then?"In the next minute we were rushing through the crowd headed back to the castl
TristanThe tempo started off slowly, drawing us all in. We keep behind closed doors, everytime I see you, I die a little more Stolen moments that we steal as the curtain falls It'll never be enough As you drive me to my house I can't stop these silent tears from rolling down You and I both have to hide on the outside where I can't be yours and you can't be mine But I know this we got a love that is hopelessI was enchanted, feeling as though the voice was reaching right inside my chest and gripping my heart. Then she let the cloak fall away and my breath was stolen in that moment. It was Stormie. I knew that the voice felt familiar but I'd never heard her sing. Hell most people here hadn't even heard her speak before. The room was silent as she continued, the song soft and drawing everyone in. I felt every word she sang. Why can't I hold you in the street Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor I wish that it could be like that Why can't it be like that Cause I
StormieI was nervous to say the least, but something in me compelled me. I picked out a song the girls had played for me awhile back. It was from a girl group they liked and I fell in love with the song from the minute they played it. When I decided that I was going to sing I knew that this song would be perfect.I was so lucky my mom was on board with this and after helping me get ready went to go speak with the band before getting herself ready. My father would be returning soon to get ready and I was sure my brother and his mate were doing the same. I went over the song in my head and sang a few notes outloud. I loved to sing I just usually did it in my head where the only one to hear was me and my wolf. She was as nervous as I was about the whole mate thing, but I honestly felt that there could be no other man on this planet for me.My mother brought my cloak with her when she came back and told me that she had already sent my father, brother and sister in law ahead to the
Tristan We had been right to have the doors guarded. As soon as I began our meeting and told them that we'd attacked the rogues last night he had paled and tried to escape while the other alphas were loudly arguing. Alpha Adam had been hot on his heels and as soon as I spotted him near the door I'd called out to him, halting him in his tracks. The stiffness of his body and the look in his eyes like a wild animal caught in a trap were a dead give away. Alpha Adam had escorted him to the head of the table and stood nearby as I settled the other alphas and explained what was really going on. I could see Alpha Robert's desire to fight was begining to surface and so I quickly threw his charges out there and had them arrest him on the spot offically declaring him a traitor. While my guards were escorting him to the cells, I explained to the other alphas what had really gone on while I was tour minus all the extra stuff with Stormie. I passed around some of the proof that we'd gotte
