Rae had to sit down. She was either going to pass out or puke. Which one, she didn't know yet. Jake sat beside her on the bed and rubbed her back trying to soothe her.

"I will never let him harm you. I will protect you with my life. This is why this is the safest place for you. Until the cops or my guys can get proof to put him where he can't harm anyone else. Especially not you." Jake promised.
