Alpha Damien stood there, he had never thought that anyone least Enzo would betray him. He struggled to process what Enzo had just said and what was happening.

“We used to be best friends," Damien began, his voice low and strained. "Even if you wanted my pack, my prestige… I would have given it to you willingly. You never had to do any of this, Enzo.”

Enzo sneered, his cold, calculating expression never faltering. “Your pack? Your prestige? Do you think this is just about some land, Damien? My ambition is larger than just having the Knight Pack. This isn’t just about power.”

Damien blinked, taken aback. He had expected Enzo’s motivations to be driven by power and greed, but there was something more, something he hadn't considered. "If it’s not about the pack, then what is it?"

Enzo’s lips curled into a dark smile. "It’s about love."

The word hung in the air, Damien’s brow furrowed, confusion written across his face. “Love? What are you talking about?”

Enzo stood there, watching Damien's wolf disappear into the trees. His chest heaved with fury, his mind clouded by rage. He wasn't about to let Damien escape—he wouldn’t let him get away so easily. Not after everything."Get him!" Enzo roared, his voice hoarse with anger. The rogues hesitated, momentarily stunned by Damien's sudden transformation, but Enzo was already taking matters into his own hands. His fingers closed around the cold steel of his gun. Without a second thought, he raised it, aiming it at the retreating figure of his former friend. His hands were steady, his eyes focused, and he pulled the trigger.“No!” Louis' voice rang out as he threw himself in front of the bullet, his body acting as a shield. The bullet pierced through his chest, embedding itself deep within him. His body jerked as the impact sent him crashing to the ground. For a split second, everything was silent.Louis lay there, blood pooling beneath him, his chest rising and falling in shallow, labored br

Alpha Damien stumbled through the thick forest, his breath ragged and muscles aching from hours of running. His paws barely made a sound as he moved, his heightened senses alert to every rustle of leaves, every snap of a branch. The rogues were relentless, chasing him deeper into unfamiliar terrain, their murderous intent evident in the way they had pursued him without mercy. But now, as he pressed his back against a large oak tree, his ears twitched. The forest was quiet.Too quiet.Damien sniffed the air, searching for any trace of their scent, but there was nothing—just the earthy smell of the forest and the distant howl of the wind. It seemed the rogues had given up the chase, at least for now. Slowly, he shifted back into his human form, his chest heaving as he caught his breath, exhaustion hitting him. He sank to his knees, burying his face in his hands."How did I get here?" Damien whispered to himself, his voice cracking. "How did I become so blind?"His shoulders trembled, a

Damien crouched under the shadow of a tall oak tree, watching the stillness of the Harvey pack’s territory. His breathing was shallow, controlled, as he observed the area with cold precision. It had been hours since the rogues had stopped searching for him, yet he knew better than to assume they’d given up. They were lurking, waiting, hoping to catch him off guard. But they wouldn’t.His mind was clear now, fueled by a rage so intense that it kept his heart pumping with renewed vigor. He had been a fool to trust Enzo, to let himself be blindsided by a friendship that was nothing but a facade. Ava's betrayal had already shattered a part of him, but now Enzo had stabbed him in the back as well, a man he had once called brother. And for what? Power, status... and Stephanie.Stephanie—his mate. The one person who had truly stood by him, and he had been too blind to see it. The realization hit him hard, an ache in his chest that went deeper than any physical wound. His daughter was still o

As soon as Damien reached the outskirts of the dungeon, he slowed down, his heightened senses on full alert. The thick, musty air hung around the dungeon, and the scent of damp stone and decay made his nostrils flare. He crouched low, careful not to disturb the silence, as his keen nose worked through the myriad of scents lingering in the air. Then, faint but unmistakable—Kayla. His daughter’s scent. The sweet, familiar fragrance pierced through the overwhelming smells of the dungeon, bringing a flood of emotions crashing through him. Relief, sorrow, anger—it all swirled inside him like a storm. But one emotion stood out above all others: love. She was still alive, and that was enough to rekindle the fire in his heart. He would get her back.He tried to mindlink her, willing his thoughts to reach out. Kayla… Kayla, it’s me. I’m here. Can you hear me? His heart pounded in his chest as he waited for a response, any sign that she could sense him. But there was nothing, just silence. The

Meanwhile, at the Harvey pack grounds, an omega teen, assigned to clean the pack house, stumbled across Mike and Victor's lifeless body. They lay cold and stiff, blood pooling beneath them. The teen’s eyes widened in horror, and before he could even process what he was seeing, he screamed at the top of his voice. “Dead! They’re dead!” he yelled, his voice echoing through the pack house. The news spread like wildfire, reaching Alpha Czar and Alpha Enzo within minutes. Czar was the first to react, his demeanor shifting into something cold and calculated as he listened to the report. Enzo, on the other hand, completely lost control.Enzo stormed out of the main hall, his face twisted in fury. “Who did this?!” he shouted, his voice booming across the pack grounds. Without waiting for an answer, he pulled out his gun, shooting recklessly into the air. His curses were loud and venomous, every word filled with rage.“Damien!” he bellowed, his eyes wild with anger. “I swear, I’ll kill him! I

"Czar, I owe you an apology," Enzo began, his voice low. "I acted irrationally this morning, let my emotions get the better of me. I overstepped my boundaries, and for that, I ask your forgiveness."Czar leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed on Enzo. He was a man who had built his pack on discipline and structure, and outbursts like the one Enzo had displayed earlier were not tolerated in his world. However, he had always viewed Enzo as an ally, though unpredictable. He sighed, nodding slowly."Enzo, you need to learn to control those tantrums of yours," Czar said. "We are alphas. We don’t have the luxury of letting emotions cloud our judgment. You lose control, you lose everything. It’s that simple."Enzo nodded, visibly relieved by Czar’s measured response. "I understand, and I appreciate your being an ally to me. I’ve been learning a lot from you, Czar. Truly."The older alpha gave a small grunt of acknowledgment. "Good. Just remember, you don’t rule by fear alone. Discipline i

As Alpha Damien listened intently to the rogue, he could feel his blood boiling with each word. Enzo’s betrayal had been brutal, but hearing the details of how he had slaughtered innocent pack members without remorse fueled his fury even more. Damien’s jaw tightened, and he exchanged a look with Chris, who stood beside him with his arms crossed, his face grim. The rogue, an omega, was trembling as he spoke, his eyes darting nervously between them. "I swear, everything I’ve told you is the truth," he said, his voice shaking. "Enzo’s men stormed the hall, and we couldn’t shift. He used ashbane… We were helpless. They locked everyone else in the cells."Damien's eyes narrowed, he couldn't believe he had trusted and been friends with Enzo, his ambition was brutal and destructive. The trek through the mountains had been long and arduous. The harsh winds whipped against them, and the rocky terrain was unforgiving, but Alpha Damien carried Kayla the entire way, refusing to let her feet touch the ground. He could feel her slight body trembling against him, and though she didn’t say a word, he knew she was exhausted—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Finally, they reached a small settlement nestled in the valley. He knew of a hospital there that treated both humans and werewolves alike. His mind was already made up. Kayla needed to be checked, to be sure she hadn’t sustained any unseen injuries during her time in captivity.“Hold on, sweetheart,” Damien whispered as he kissed the top of her head, her small arms still clinging tightly around his neck. “We’re almost there.”The hospital was a modest building, tucked away from the main road, but it was clean and well-kept. As Damien pushed through the doors, he was greeted by the familiar scent of antiseptic and t

Stop lounging around and get back to work,” he snapped, his words cutting through.Hank’s eyes widened, the shock unmistakable as he turned his look back to Cassandra. “Cassandra… you work here?”Cassandra’s shoulders slumped, her eyes dropping to her hands as shame washed over her. “Yes,” she murmured, voice barely audible. “This is my job now, Hank.”Hank’s face softened, his shock giving way to a profound sadness as he took in her worn appearance. He reached out, resting a gentle hand on her arm. “What… what happened to you, Cassandra?”Cassandra took a shaky breath, her voice filled with shame and regret as memories rushed back, memories of the choices she had made, the paths she had chosen, and the arrogance that had blinded her. “I trusted someone,” she began, voice breaking. “A younger man. Damien stood on the edge of the field overlooking the lush greenery of parts of the pack territory. He glanced around at the pack members beginning their morning routines and took a deep breath, his mind elsewhere. It was Hank's invitation that lingered in his thoughts—a trip to South Africa, a vacation that had taken on a life of its own in his mind, fueled by encouragement from Stephanie and the children.“I think you should go," Chris had told him one evening, sensing Damien's hesitation. "You've been carrying this pack for years, barely taking a moment for yourself. Let me handle things here for a little while. I owe you that much—and more."Damien had turned to his beta, touched by Chris's words. "Chris, you know since after the whole ordeal we have faced, I planned on never stepping out of the pack for years to come”Chris gave a light chuckle, patting Damien's shoulder with a brotherly confidence. "Damien, with respect, you need to go. Not only for you, but for Stephanie and t

The night had quieted down slightly as the guests had left, but the heart of the pack remained. Under the glow of the moonlight, laughter and music filled the air, while the remaining pack members continued to dance and celebrate. Stephanie and Damien stood together, watching Caleb and Kayla play with the other children, their faces glowing with happiness.Suddenly, Chris approached, his arm around Zita, both of them laughing softly. “Alpha,” Chris began. “Zita and I have been talking, and we… We'd love to exchange our vows and officially become mates tonight, with all of you here to witness it. It feels right on a night like this.”Damien’s face lit up with surprise, then softened with a deep warmth. “Chris, I can’t think of a better moment. No one deserves this more than you. You’ve stood by me, through every storm and every success. It’s an honor to have you both join as mates on this special night.”Chris nodded, visibly moved, and his hand tightened around Zita’s. “Thank you, Da

As the celebration continued into the evening, the guests began forming a line to present their gifts to the new Luna. Stephanie graciously accepted each one, touched by the thoughtfulness behind every present. Her heart warmed as she saw the way her pack and loved ones had come together to make this day so memorable.Albert, Damien's former gamma and new Alpha of knight pack, presented a beautifully crafted silver pendant adorned with the Moon Goddess symbol. “To remind you of your strength and wisdom, Luna,” he said with a smile, bowing his head in respect.Stephanie took the pendant with a smile, deeply moved. “Thank you, Albert. I’ll wear it proudly,” she replied, clasping the pendant close to her heart.Jane approached next, holding a delicate painting of a moonlit forest scene. “It’s a reminder of home,” Jane said softly. “Those times you felt lost, but now you have gotten all you deserve because you are a good person.”Stephanie’s eyes shone with gratitude as she took the gift.

The night before the Luna ceremony, Stephanie lay wide awake, staring at the ceiling, her thoughts swirling with anticipation and excitement. It was hard to believe the day was finally here. She was about to step fully into the role of Luna, something that had once seemed unimaginable. Though she had faced endless trials and tribulations, she had come full circle, returning to the place where she now felt a profound sense of belonging. In the early morning hours, she heard a gentle knock at her door. “Mom?” Caleb’s voice whispered through the door.Stephanie rose and opened the door to find Caleb standing there, looking every bit as anxious as she felt. He began to speak but kept stopping, clearly struggling to find the right words.“Mom, are you… excited?” he finally asked, his voice barely more than a whisper.Stephanie placed her hands on his shoulders. “More than you can imagine,” she replied softly. “I’m nervous too, just like you.” She squeezed his shoulders reassuringly. “But

Stephanie could feel the children’s excitement building as they made their way through the heart of the pack’s community toward Alicia's shop. Though she had initially considered using a human seamstress, she felt a sense of ease in choosing Alicia, a decision that felt more meaningful now. Alicia was not only an incredible seamstress but also a woman who deeply understood the werewolf world and its sacred ceremonies. Stephanie knew that Alicia’s designs would capture the spirit and traditions of the pack, honoring the connection to the Moon Goddess. When they arrived, Alicia’s shop was warm and inviting, filled with bolts of fabric in rich colors and textures that seemed to glow under the sunlight streaming through the windows. Stephanie took in the scene, feeling a surge of pride for her pack and their traditions. The door swung open, and Alicia looked up, her face breaking into a broad smile when she saw them. “Stephanie!” she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine delight. “And

As they settled down for breakfast, the atmosphere was light with laughter and the occasional clink of silverware. The events of the past few days felt distant, overshadowed by the warmth of family and the security of home. The children chattered excitedly about their favorite dishes, as Stephanie and Damien exchanged glances, each silently grateful for the peace they now had.Just then, Chris and Zita walked in, both of them beaming, a radiance about them that instantly caught Stephanie’s attention. “Hey! Look who’s finally joining us!” she called out with a welcoming grin."Couldn't resist the smell of breakfast, could you?" Damien added, chuckling as he pulled out chairs for them. Chris laughed, nodding his thanks as he and Zita took their seats at the table, the children greeting them with enthusiastic waves and giggles.“We thought we’d pop in to see everyone before the day fully got underway,” Chris said, giving a warm smile around the table. “But truthfully, Zita and I have som

Stephanie stirred, blinking sleepily as the trauma of the previous night’s ordeal washed over her. She glanced beside her to see Damien, Kayla, and Caleb, all nestled close together, their faces peaceful in sleep. The children had insisted on sleeping with them that night, clinging to the safety and warmth they found between them after the terrifying events they'd endured. Stephanie had found no reason to say no; in fact, their closeness had provided her with a rare sense of calm.Taking a deep breath, Stephanie gently placed her hand on Damien’s shoulder, whispering his name as she brushed back the strands of hair that had fallen across his face. "Damien," she murmured softly, her voice barely audible. He blinked awake, his gaze meeting hers, still clouded with sleep.
