Stephanie had always loved Sunday morning especially since she started living in the mansion her father gave her. She was happy to be back after staying in a hidden location for a week after she was shot.

There was always a tranquil energy around her kitchen, and this morning was no different as the morning sunlight streamed into the kitchen as Stephanie and Kayla sat down for breakfast.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the scent of pancakes, and bacon was heavenly. She prepared a plate of the meal for Kayla with orange juice and also made a plate for herself with a second helping of coffee

"I miss Aunt Zita a lot," Kayla said. She played with her food, her fork tracing patterns in the syrup on her plate before cutting a slice of pancake and shoving it into her mouth

Stephanie looked up from her coffee, a sympathetic smile on her face. "Don't worry, sweetheart. She'll be back soon," she assured her.
