Theda POV

"Quick, pack your things. Everyone is crazy, they are all ferocious, and we must get out of the city," my mother said, with sorrow in her eyes, as she paced around the room, bringing out things from each corner.

I could read the sorrow in her eyes, flitting across them, as she made her way across the room. It sounded exigent.

"Mom, why are we going to leave? She's already a slave," Axel, my younger brother said, jumping up, with a sad look on his face.

I didn't know why she said that. It sounded like she was traumatized, blown away by the fact that I was finally sold after my Omega genes proved positive.

"You're purely an Omega, almost entirely. They would kill you, Theda. Julian is going to make sure he harms you," she said. I still didn't understand.

"W-hat do you mean by that?" I managed to spit out the words, rolling my eyes at her, dazed by her actions.

"They're going to kill you, Theda. The Alpha who bought you is ruthless," she mouthed out, with an obvious sign of fear dancing on her face.

Just as the words would travel through the ear, and I sank them deep, a wave of angst encompassed almost the entirety of me, and I felt the steam hurling out of my pores, while the liquid drowned down my face.

The curse had not left me. My life was not good. Maybe it was everlasting, I didn't know, but it was a page of self-fulfilling prophecy unveiling its rotten existence in my life.

"What are we to do now? How are we going to escape?" Axel cried, with a low-tuned voice.

My breathing ceased in my that as I heard the footfalls of the most cruel man I ever knew. He appeared over the door, with disgust written all over his face.

 Disgust for me.

 Disgust for a cursed child.

"Julian! Julian, please, don't do this to Theda, don't do this to her," my mother pleaded, crouching at his feet, sending an immediate gut-wrenching wave of surprise in me, blanching ripe.

"You monster," I called. The crying died down, and he looked down upon me. "You're the leech on our skin, an infectious parasite, a beastly creature. The goddess will pay you for your sins!" I yelled.

Swoosh. His hands palmed me right in the face, and his nails clawing me badly, I could feel my skin peeling.

"Take her to Alpha Tyler's pack. Make sure that she reaches there safely. At least, a prey is better devoured when fully fleshed!" He ordered.

My eyes rolled to the guards. They were the heavy gammas of our pack, and they couldn't stand our sight. We had now become their little plaything.

My father, the previous Alpha, trusted these men, and their sons. Now, they were hurting us, attacking and defiling our royalty. All because of my mother's love for this wicked man.

They grabbed me with hard hands, and their nails dug in deep. A whimper escaped my lips, but they didn't care and kept dragging me around the packhouse.

My mother cried and wailed, pleading to him, while my brother joined, wanting to get a hold of me. My face whipped to the side, as I watched other guards manhandle him, giving him a beat down.

Today was the worst day of my life. The day when everything finally crumbled.

They forced me into the midget car. I was more than half an Omega, while the other half of my hybrid self didn't yet manifest and ruptured, so I was a good Omega for an Alpha class.

To be candid, Omegas received the worst treatment. We were the last in rank, and we only either had to be a slave for the rest of our lives or if lucky, be the mistresses of Alphas.

Most of the cruel bidders wanted me as their slaves, a tool they could use to satisfy their nonsensical desires.

Thinking I got into safer hands, my mother warned me about this man.

 Alpha Tyler he was called.

A monstrous creature, he was rumored to be.

That wasn't the first time I heard that name, but encountering him only made me shiver, as my bones weakened, and my tendons broke.

It was about an hour's drive. I tried to maintain silence, while the terrifying presence of the built Gammas had me shaking. I knew they were all shifters, and they could devour me if I attempted to run. I stood no chance. As soon as I had the feeling that we were near the borders of the pack we were heading to, I tried to calm down, but it seemed my wolf was announcing danger to me.

We drove past the borders, and I experienced the malicious stare of the sentinels positioned at the borders. It was dark, and we drove a long distance. I felt like throwing up, as exhaustion consumed the whole of me. The car came to a halt at a massive three-story mansion, and my stomach dropped as the Gammas stepped out.

They reached out for me, grabbed my arms, two Gamma on each side, and walked me up to two guards positioned at the large door. My steps were weak, and my feet almost faltered as we marched the ascending stairs past the fountain leading to the main door.

"Is she Alpha Julian's slave?" One of the men, supposedly a Gamma too, asked, as he examined me closely. My vision was blurry, and since it was at night, I didn't know what the men looked like, but their figure was intimidating.

"Yes. We have brought her to you. She's the Alpha's slave now. He may do to her what he pleases," one of the Gammas from my pack said.

The words left me dying. They shook hands, and the Gammas retreated to the car, and it was me against a new set of beasts.

A shocking expression appeared on their faces, and they stared at me, staring at themselves afterward.

"What the hell are you looking at? Get in the house!" The man bawled, trying to shove the expression he just gave.

I didn't know why they were staring at me like that, but his mouth was agape. One of them grabbed my arm, and the massive door opened before me, a wave of air slapping my face.

Inside the house was dimly lit, and it was as silent as the deathly hallows, and it was me with these men. I didn't know what they would do to me.

My chains cording me rattling, disturbing the silence of the house.

"She looks so awkward. The Alpha needs to see this," one of the men said.

Awkward? Of course, I was in this state.

My mind held hope, and my mouth shut for a momentary silence, before the house experienced a thunderstorm.

"You?!" The thick and throaty voice echoed around the house, and I turned around to see a masculine figure in the dark.

 The Alpha.

"Alpha Norton, I am so sorry," I managed to utter, my words weighed down by the heaviness of the situation. Alpha Norton, still facing away from me, nodded silently. His gesture conveyed a mix of understanding and resignation as if he had anticipated this outcome. "Theda, it's alright." I could sense the pain and disappointment radiating from him, and it tore at my heart. Meanwhile, Aunt Jael sneered, her expression filled with disdain as she continued to stare at me. The contemptuous gaze intensified the already overwhelming emotions within me, and I felt a desperate need to escape the suffocating atmosphere.
