Chloe’s POV.

As I followed the maid to the bathroom, my mind was racing with a million thoughts, swirling and colliding like a storm inside my head. I couldn't help but wonder why I was able to speak in front of Alpha Jax when just moments ago, I couldn't even open my mouth to utter a single word to Ryan. It was like my voice had been stolen from me.
