42~ Realization

I scolded myself in my head. I should have kept her name out of my mouth but I couldn't help but wonder what kind of a lady she was, that she was seen around this cruel man who only knows how to spill blood as an answer to anything.

“Have we met before?” She asked me but I knew my words were as sharp as iron if I kept letting her read me in my own game.

Silence was far more reachable because it was a way to keep my thoughts to myself without them knowing my next move or the next words I wanted to say.

I didn't want to expose the fact that I saw through dreams. She walked closer to me, looking me in the eye. I lowered my gaze. My cover was much more important than being tough. I wanted to have a conversation with her to know how dark her mind went.

“I feel like I have seen you somewhere before.” I shook my head. The way her eyes went darker, it was clear she didn't buy it.

I prayed to the heavens that she wouldn't recognize me. Deep down I knew how futile the prayer was.
