I sat, staring at Deluca while he laughed menacingly for what seemed like minutes over a simple statement I said which I don't think deserves the mock.

I was trying not to act differently for two reasons. First, he was a Lycan King and I was just a werewolf Lord. Secondly, I have a purpose and he was the only way I could achieve that purpose. Doing anything silly would only ruin it all. And I wasn't open to taking that risk.
