Don't push me

KALILA'S POV

It was an unusual Saturday. The mansion teemed with more servants than I knew existed. Dressed in white, they scurried around the house, calling my attention from different angles to assess and commend their work. If I ever thought work at the office was stressful, this was a tsunami.

It was the most boisterous atmosphere I had ever witnessed at the mansion, and I was sure it hadn't been like this for a long time. The coronation fever was evident everywhere, permeating the entire building, grasping everyone in its festivity. The only people that didn't seem happy were Angela and me. Or maybe only me.

"Do you think you need a break, ma'am?" Angela asked. "You've been working all morning, even harder than that so-called event planner over there."

I craned my neck to the right and saw the event planner at the dining table, stuffing his large mouth with pancakes. It was the first time I had seen a male event planner, and this one was lazy and more of a liability than an asset
