Bailey's POVI was trying to wait for Alpha Grey but nature had it's way. I was not sure of how long I was asleep but the sun was now bright over the horizon. I looked at my side and saw Grey lying beside me. When did he get back? I turned and faced him as he slept. He looked so peaceful. I wanted to touch his face but I didn't want to wake him. His chest rose and fell and I wanted to put my head on his it and listen to his heartbeat. He took a deep breath as he slept and turned his head a little. A little chunk of his hair fell out of place and onto his face. I wanted to push it aside but it made him look ravishing. I looked better on him than it would ever be on Superman. I shifted a little closer to him. I wanted to feel him warm against me but how was I going to do that without waking him up.He looked really tired and worn out. What had they talked about during the council meeting? I always heard they were boring. My dad had a certain dislike for them. I propped my head up with my
Bailey's POVI lay on the bed thinking about what I could do to help Grey. Soon the bathroom door opened and Alpha Grey stepped out. I looked at him and he smiled at me."Aren't you going to school today Bailey?""No. Today is a school free day."He walked up to me and caressed my cheek."Well, I think know a way you can help me with the jewel."My eyes shone bright."Really? How?""Getting ready for your final exams."My anticipation turned to brief disappointment but it went away as Alpha Grey kissed my forehead."You should go and have breakfast now."I nodded and left his room. I went to mine and lay on the bed. The difference between rooms was apparent. Mine didn't have Alpha Grey's strong musky scent all over it. The necklace Alpha Grey had given to me was warm on my skin. I hadn't taken it off since the day he gave it to me. Sometimes I forgot I was wearing it because it had already become a part of me just like Grey was.I had a quick shower and headed downstairs for breakfast.
Bailey's POVTyler, Katie and I continued to study. I was still in shock that Alpha Grey had'nt told me any of these details when I asked him about the outcome of the meeting. How could he? I told him I wanted to help and get the jewel back and that meant he had to tell me everything that had to do with the jewel. How could he keep this a secret from me? I tried to comfort myself about it all but I just couldn't. Katie saw my discomfort and nudged Tyler. He probably shouldn't have told me all the details. The reading soon became too tense for comfort and Tyler and Katie had to go."Bye Bailey, we'll see you in school tomorow.""Bye," I said sadly.I put my books away sadly and flopped on my bed. Why was I feeling like this? Maybe Grey didn't trust me? I turned uncomfortably to one side."No Bailey, don't ovethink this."I exhaled and decided to ignore it all. It wasn't a big deal after all.I closed my eyes and fell asleep. my dreams were plagued by images of Alpha Grey yelling at me a
Bailey's POVI looked at Alpha Grey with ferocity in my eyes."What is the meaning of this? I should be asking you that! How dare you!"Alpha Grey exhaled in frustration and stood up from his seat and closed the door. He tried to hold me but I shruged him off angrily."Don't touch me! Why would you touch someone that you don't trust?!"Alpha Grey looked at me with wide open eyes."Bailey what are you even saying? Are you listening to yourself?"He tried to hold me again but I pushed him away angrily and looked at him with tears in my eyes."How could you Grey?! I told you that I wanted to help look for the jewel. I told you to tell me everything that happened in the meeting and you left out the part of one of the councilors asking you when you would name your Luna!"Alpha Grey's eyes grew even wider."Who told you that?""It doesn't matter!""Bailey, please. You're being unreasonable.""Why does everyone keep telling me that! Is it unreasonable to want to help make things right? Is it
Alpha Grey POVI heard Beta Recce's voice and brushed myself up. I brought Bailey down from the table and set her back on her feet. I could see that she was trembling. She had probably done something wrong.I opened the door and Beta Recce walked in. He looked at Bailey with a poisonous stare and at me, coldly."Do excuse me with my daughter, Alpha Grey."Beta Recce took Bailey back outside and closed the door. I could hear him scolding her. Something about eevesdropping and running away when her mother was calling her. I sat back on my chair and waited for Beta Recce to finish. I knew he wanted to talk to me. He wouldn't have come up to my office just to scold his daughter when he knew quite well that he could scold her all he wanted when she got back to her room. I did some work while I waited and soon Beta Recce came in and I could see a silhouette of Bailey going down the stairs."I'm sorry for that Grey. I needed to talk to my daughter.""It's alright Recce. You have always been t
Bailey's POVMy dad took me out and closed the door behind him."Bailey what is wrong with you?""I'm sorry dad. I needed answers.""Bailey, you are too young to listen to these things.""I'm not dad. I want to help. I want to make thing right."My dad looked at me with sad eyes."Go to your room. You should go and talk to your mum later. You really hurt her with your storming out."I didn't say anything more. I headed back downstairs and to my room. I was furious with my dad. Couldn't he see that I just wanted to help. And what the hell did he mean by that I was 'too young'. I was eighteen for crying out loud. That is an adult in human society but in wolf society, an adult is a sixteen year old wolf.I closed the door hard and sat on my bed. I was upset with what dad had told me but as I remembered the things Alpha Grey had said, I began to smile. At least he understood things a little. But I needed to get answers about the jewel. I needed to talk to Miguel but there was no way that t
Bailey's POVSoon the dark clouds began to gather over head. It was going to rain soon. The wind began to blow violently and mum and I had to go inside. I hated when it rained a day before a school day. The streets would be wet and muddy and I'd have to walk to school in all the filth and evade so many puddles. Mum and I just managed to head inside before the first drops started to fall. We sat at the dinning table and listened to the pitter and patter of the rain on the roof and windows. Suddenly, my eye caught the cover of mum's book."What book are you reading?""Oh this little thing. It's called 'The Alpha's Pup Mate' by Paula White. I love her books. Your dad thinks her fiction is a little delusional but he has terrible choice when it comes to books anyway."I giggled."You know something? The female lead kind of reminds me of you a whole lot.""Really?""Yeah.""Well...does it end happily?""Hmmm... I wouldn't know. I'll just have to keep reading to the end to find out, won't I?"
Bailey's POV"Oh hell no!"I couldn't be late for the test. There was no way that I was prepared to fail my favourite subject in the whole world. I jumped out of bed as fast as could and ran into the shower. I had barely spent two minutes in there bathing and brushing my teeth. I zoomed out and put on the first pair of jeans and shirt that I could find in my wardrobe. I didn't even have time to comb my hair; Greek History was way more important than getting my hair in order. I looked at my phone; I had fifteen minutes left. I threw my phone and books into my bag and flung myself down the stairs and out the front door. I barely had time to greet mum and dad, who were both having tea in the kitchen and talking like new lovers which explains why my secondary alarm, my mum, didn't wake me up this morning. She was always a late riser whenever her and dad got busy in bed."Hi mum. Hi dad. Bye mum. Bye dad."And like a flash, I whizzed out the front door. I ran as fast as my legs could carry
