Chapter -5 “Fate or Someone's Trick?”

The phone ring makes me look at my phone screen, a smile coated my lips as seeing the name of a person calling me. I answer the call as greet in a soft and happy tone, “Good morning, Sweetheart. Missing me?”

“Of course I miss you, How can’t I?” She replied causes me to chuckles, She is my beautiful mother, who always worried about me whether it’s about I did my dinner on time, or I slept at night or not. But I love her, well more than my dad because of her loving and caring nature towards everyone.

“Oh, your Dad said you have new to tell me, C’mon fast kiddo tell me how she is? And when you both are getting here to meet us? God, I am super excited to meet her.”

She asked so many questions causing me to doubt that maybe she forget to take a breath, well I know I found my mate after searching so long is big news for my parents especially my mom. But I am not in a state to fulfill her demand now maybe sometime in the future.

“Calm down mom, don’t forget to breathe or we have to blame my newfound mate for your health,” I comment knowing I can’t deny her directly so try to avoid that question.

“No no, it’s quite opposite, I am feeling better since I heard about her and I am super excited to meet her in person.” She muttered happily.

“Soon mom. Where is dad?” I asked not because I’m scared to think about my relationship with my mate which is like strangers still, because we both didn’t meet each other formally now, and I am a famous Alpha king who never scared ever before but I don’t want my mom to come here and be a matchmaker for me. Which I can bet she will do if she found out my situation now.

“Dean! Honey.. Alex wants to talk to you.” I listened to mom calling my dad before I heard his voice as he takes the phone.

“Congratulations Son.” He congratulates me normally not like mom, but his happiness is visible in his voice. My dad is quite opposite personality than my mother, have an authoritative aura causing peoples to bow down in front of him, he was the most strict alpha of his time more than me, but tame by my sweet mother.

“Thanks, Dad. Do you have a minute I want to talk to you about something important?” I asked in a formal voice which is an indication that it must be something important.

“Of course, Alex.” He said before I heard footsteps of him walking towards his study, I can tell because of that where he loves to discuss all important matters whether related to our pack or business.

After talking with dad left my mansion, walking toward my black Lambo. The driver comes running to my side as opens the back door for me, standing there bow his head in respect. I nodded before setting inside and ordered him to drive toward the office.

After a 30-minute drive, I reached my office building, looking toward the empire I made A&A industries, the multinational company having branches in almost every big country. This India's branch is handle by alpha Dan, I mostly handle our California head office.

I entered inside, everyone stop working whatever they were doing as standing like a statue not looking in my eyes as muttering their morning greetings. I nodded as walking toward my office on the 7th floor.

I was sitting in my office when my secretary knocked on the door before peeking inside from the door and informed “Sir, you have a meeting in the next 30 minutes file is already on your table.” I nodded as dismissed her, pick up the papers placed in front of me on my big glass desk.

My office doors open again but this time not by my secretary but by Alpha Dan as he enters inside smiling. I appreciate happy and easy-going peoples but being an Alpha, it’s not an excuse.

“Yes?” I asked in my Alpha tone causing him to arched his brow as looking towards me. Oh, c'mon seriously we are not such a good friend or anything so why he is expecting me to greet him with a hug or any bro code.

“Oh, sorry for the unannounced presence of him, by the way, I am here to show you the annual report of ours companies turnover,” he replied in not so reliable voice but I nodded slowly, looking towards this guy, not believing his word. I mean c'mon I am alpha king for years now, I can tell this is not his only motive to come here but we’ll see soon what he is up to.

He opens a file in front of me containing some reports for company turnover as he said, I silently listen to what he was telling me, patiently waiting for him to tell his actual motive, and curious also that what caused him to come to me.

He didn’t say anything after as close the file he was reporting on, just smiling like manic and honestly is irritates me that why I asked myself when he neither make a move to leave nor said anything else.

“Anything else you want to tell me? Alpha Dan?” he chuckled while shaking his head before saying, “Ah. Yes, I want a favor if you don’t mind of course.” He paused glancing towards me, I nodded to him to continue whatever he wants to ask.

“I give a new firm contract to handle our companies accounts and ask them to send their best employee to do this work. But the problem is, I have an urgent meeting today which comes out last minute because of that I can’t attend the meeting with them today.” He explained.

“And you want me to attend that meeting for you, right?” I conclude what he is trying to say.

“Yes, so can you? Pretty please.” he requests with puppy dog eyes causing me to shoot him a hard look but accepted his request because I don’t have any meeting after the one which is about to start.

He smirks as mumbled his thanks before storm out of my office leaving me in peace with my work. This guy's next level, sometimes I can’t digest the fact that is the alpha of the Aabrel pack.

After finishing my meeting I walked out of the meeting room as checking my phone screen which is showing some text from my dearest mom. As always she is asking if I eat my lunch on time, or not? And when I am planning to come back? I can’t help but smile at her loving and caring nature.

I stopped in my tracks when I caught the alluring scent causing Xavier, my wolf to jump up and down in happiness inside my mind. I turn to check my surroundings to found the source of this heavenly scent but found none.

‘Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me?’ I muttered to myself as getting sad that it was just a mere illusion. Yes, I am continuously thinking about her as replaying in my mind, again and again, the moment when I meet her that day in the club. 

It’s not like I didn’t do anything to trace her but until know my beta found no information about her, I don’t even know her name if it makes you guys believe in my statement.

I signed as walked inside my office ordering my secretary to send that person from the accountancy firm to my office when they come.

Xavier is still over the cloud even I told him that was a misunderstanding but he is not listening, stupid wolf, acting like a lovesick girl. I decide to ignore him as start working on my laptop, checking some pack documents that need to be verification.

I heard a knock on my office door causes me to look up from the laptop screen towards my secretary as she peeking insides and said, “Sir, those people from the accountancy firm are here, can I send them in?” She asked.

I nodded and waiting for them to come in, still feeling that stupid weird feeling of my wolf, this guy goes nuts for sure. I commented causing him to scoff at me.

The door reopened to fill that scent insides my office, ‘I seriously need to focused on work Xavier stop this now’ I order my wolf as thinking it's his tricks, but get shocked when I saw the person enter inside my office.

Is it true or I start seeing things now? I am crazily falling for her that’s why I can see her everywhere now? Shit, right or what reason could be that she come here herself to meet me.

Those were the thoughts crossing my mind before I heard her melodies and shy voice, “Hello sir, I am Amber Mehra, from VT Sheghal tax and accountancy firm.”

To said I’m shocked is an understatement now, yes I believe in fate and know that the moon goddess is up-to something good but for this incident, I already have an idea who did this.
