Chapter 46

I tried to make peace with Martin but every time we spoke, it led to an argument of who was better and who was the trash around here.

When we arrived at the packhouse, we separated our ways and I grabbed some medicines off the counter to cure myself and the wounds the wolves had given me. My parents were in the underground cellar along with the other wolves Martin had captured.

I had no intentions of visiting them up until morning.

The next morning bought a few trials and disasters. Just before James's funeral, I took a few shots of whiskey to clear my mind and reminded my self that he died because of me.

Davis was my suffering, not someone else's.

Once buried,I laid a few of his favorite flowers over his grave and remembered the first few times we had met. It was at his office and back then, I was running away from Martin and his pack, or at least trying too.

There wasn't a single time James disrespected or harmed me. He was always gentle and caring.
