CHAPTER 7 - The Reason WHY

VESPER woke up from her slumber. She could smell her blood and she hated it.

For her, there’s nothing more shameful than smelling your own. The whole room reeks of the scent of her blood from the beatings she got last night, she sniffs the air and aside from her, no one’s inside or nearby. She’s alone.

She could feel her body healing itself, too fast, and she needed to slow the process. After her night watch, she injured herself before returning to the basement. This is to reopen the wounds and to lose more blood, but she still heals fast.

Something she doesn't need. She needs to look helpless, weak, and docile. "What I did last night was not a good idea. Now I can only feel hunger and exhaustion." She mumbles to herself.

Being alone with only her thoughts, she began to recollect the reason why she was there. "I’m sure it was that woman. What’s her name again? Ah! I remember. It’s Selene." She thought to herself.

She was jolted back to her senses when she heard the door being open.
