CHAPTER 10 - The Book is A Lie

SUNDAY, ten twenty-two in the morning.

While waiting for the results of the items they recovered from the three different incidents, Gertrude and Velmont stood in their room seated on opposite chairs in front of a massive file of documents and photos of the crime scene. Reviewing and analyzing the victims' details. Trying to relive what their last hours might have been.

"I'm tired," Velmont says as he closes his eyes and tilts his head upward.

"This is by far the most dead-end case we've ever tackled." She responded as she slowly slumped on the chair.

"Yeah! The Omega killer sure does know how to murder, gruesome but neat. Perhaps too neat. It looks as if our killer took his time to display his victim's body, but what does it all mean?" He states as he heaves deeply, conveying his distress about the situation.

"There's no such thing as being too neat. We still have the silk, the book, and the relic." She responded with a hint of hope in her voice.
