Saturday at three o’clock in the afternoon.

It’s Evie, Jolly, Sebastian, and Sander’s first time to undergo the Citadel training. The four newcomers glance at each other and at the space between them. There are supposedly five of them but still no sign of Vesper. Even after three days since her punishment, they never saw her again.

Delta Dimitry facilitated the training. First is the warm-up, then almost an hour's run along the Citadel Manor premises. Jolly can no longer take it and slowly moves to Gamma Sevy, who’s running behind them.

"Gamma? How is she?" She asks in a soft voice.

"Alive!" The Gamma replied nonchalantly.

Delta Dimitry then yelled, "Miss Emberville, do you want to be with Miss Miles?" Her whole body trembled as she reminisced the sound of lashes and Vesper’s whimpers.

"No, Sir!" She replied in fear.

Emily saw her reaction and slowly moved towards her to console her and ran together till they all became breathless.

TEN forty-five in the evening.Gamma Sevy hurriedly ran back to Vesper. His mind is racing. A series of questions were running around his brain."Why did she shriek?”“Did someone attack her?”“Is it the Omega killer?”“Should I call for backup?”“Fuck!"Breathless, he arrives at the training course only to find Vesper cowering behind a tree staring at someone in the distance. His heart was pounding hard. He’s about to howl, but when he sniffs the air, he calms himself. He smelt lilacs."Alpha Qillalon!" he yells. The man then walks towards them. Vesper steps back a little as he gets near them."Don’t be scared, Vesper," Gamma Sevy mumbles."Me telling someone else not to be scared, but I’m also terrified." Gamma Sevy thought to himself. She then lowered her head and apologized. "I’m sorry, Alpha! I was startled and I panicked." She kept her head low as she didn't want them to see her reddening face. "How can he sneak up on me like that? I almost lost it and revealed myself. I was luc

SUNDAY, ten twenty-two in the morning. While waiting for the results of the items they recovered from the three different incidents, Gertrude and Velmont stood in their room seated on opposite chairs in front of a massive file of documents and photos of the crime scene. Reviewing and analyzing the victims' details. Trying to relive what their last hours might have been."I'm tired," Velmont says as he closes his eyes and tilts his head upward."This is by far the most dead-end case we've ever tackled." She responded as she slowly slumped on the chair."Yeah! The Omega killer sure does know how to murder, gruesome but neat. Perhaps too neat. It looks as if our killer took his time to display his victim's body, but what does it all mean?" He states as he heaves deeply, conveying his distress about the situation."There's no such thing as being too neat. We still have the silk, the book, and the relic." She responded with a hint of hope in her voice."What if the killer left them deliber

AT THE Manor infirmary…“I thought Jolly would win. I never knew you were that strong.” Sander says as an Omega nurse bandages the wounds in his knuckles.“That throw could have been executed better, but I saw that you hesitated at the last minute. What happened?” Sebastian pointed out.“I don’t know.” She responded as another nurse tried to stop the bleeding and put numbing cream around it."It's Qillalon Van Kirk's fault. If he had not been there, none of this could have ever happened. My blood boils every time I see him. He's scent and his face is a spitting image of his father." She thought to herself.“You got distracted. I saw your eyes move in Alpha Qillalon’s direction.” Gamma Sevy says mockingly.Vesper’s hand shakes a bit.“So you have a crush on him?” Sander easily said.“No!” She yells. “Ouch!” She winced as her adrenaline rush finally wore off. She could feel the severity of her injury and it was not pleasant. “It’s not that. There were just too many people in the audience

I was expecting it to happen in my 80s or 90s.” His tone was filled with sorrow.“Elder, they will come to their senses and regret the idea of you losing control. In a distant town of Cordova...The sun had long dipped below the horizon, casting the countryside in hues of deep indigo and shadow. The young boy's parents were worriedly looking for their missing son. The distant howls of coyotes echoed in the stillness as Helena and Robert trudged through the tall grass, lanterns in hand. The light from the flame flickered, barely enough to cut through the encroaching darkness."Jacob!" Helena called out to her son, her voice hoarse from hours of yelling. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mix of exhaustion and panic."He's probably just wandered off again," Robert said, trying to keep his tone steady, though his clenched jaw betrayed him. "You know how boys are."Helena shot him a glance, her worry etched into every line of her face. "Not this far, Robert. Not this late."Their boots crunched over dry leaves and twigs as they neared the edge of the property. The old barn loomed ahead, its silhouette jagged and broken against the night sky. Once

In the sterile, dimly lit room in the Citadel’s infirmary, it felt heavier with each passing minute. The scent of antiseptic was sharp in the air, but it did nothing to mask the oppressive silence that filled the space. Alpha Zane stood beside the bed where his wife, Eleanor, lay unconscious, her fragile form surrounded by the flickering light of the candle nearby. The normally fierce and proud woman, whose presence could command a room, now looked utterly vulnerable. Her face was pale, her breathing shallow, and the haunting remnants of the entity’s possession clung to her like a dark shadow.Alpha Zane had not left her side since she had returned to the manor. He hadn’t eaten, hadn’t slept. His hands were gripped tightly on the edge of the bed, his knuckles white. His mind replayed every moment of their fractured relationship—every harsh word, every hurtful action—and now, the consequences of his decisions seemed to echo in his chest like a crushing weight."I should've never rejecte

No worries Headmaster, it will be here in no time.” He uttered playfully. The Headmaster, an ancient figure whose very presence emanated power, used all his remaining strength to sit on his bed.“I can’t wait to have it on my hands. Hurry and order someone to meet the entity halfway.” He demanded urgently. Jacques nodded and hurriedly motioned to the personnel guarding the Headmaster’s room to send someone out. Mustering all the strength he had, the Headmaster removed the IVs on his hand and rose from the bed that had been his haven for several years. He limply made his way to the floor-to-ceiling window. The darkness outside made his reflection

He kept his eyes fixed on the road, the low hum of the engine the only sound that filled the vehicle’s interior. Beside him, in the passenger seat, Vesper’s body slumped, her body resting in the front passenger seat, purple-colored nails and pale skin. The remnants of her injuries—brutal and fatal—were still fresh in the surrounding air. Vesper’s pulse was still as silent as a calm sea, though the shattered remnants of her skull and missing brain told a different story. Her clothes were soaked in dried blood that had already stuck to her skin. Her once-pale skin was mottled with bruises, cuts, and burns from the silver bullets that had torn through her.
