In a distant town of Cordova...

The sun had long dipped below the horizon, casting the countryside in hues of deep indigo and shadow.

The young boy's parents were worriedly looking for their missing son.

The distant howls of coyotes echoed in the stillness as Helena and Robert trudged through the tall grass, lanterns in hand. The light from the flame flickered, barely enough to cut through the encroaching darkness.

"Jacob!" Helena called out to her son, her voice hoarse from hours of yelling. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mix of exhaustion and panic.

"He's probably just wandered off again," Robert said, trying to keep his tone steady, though his clenched jaw betrayed him. "You know how boys are."

Helena shot him a glance, her worry etched into every line of her face. "Not this far, Robert. Not this late."

Their boots crunched over dry leaves and twigs as they neared the edge of the property. The old barn loomed ahead, its silhouette jagged and broken against the night sky. Once a

In Citadel Manor’s Omegas Chambers…In the dead of night. The night air was cold and heavy and it matched the silence of the Omegas gathered around the fireplace. The grief in their hearts weighed them down.Everyone has a telltale sign of sadness in them. One has her hand clasping her chest. The other clenched the hem of her dress. The other can't help but blame the person that did it. "I knew it. I saw it in my eyes... That... That woman won't stop at anything till she takes Alpha Qillalon back," Emily yelled internally. The burning firewood twinkled faintly, their light reflecting off their grieving faces. At the center of the gathering stood a wooden table, holding a framed photo of Vesper from her application as an Omega to Citadel, frozen in time. Her faint smile, pallid face, and neutral expression in her eyes were forever lost in her untimely death. Around her picture, unlit candles were arranged in a delicate circle. Each person held a candle close, their hands trembling with

There was a pressing idea in his mind that he tried to suppress but couldn’t, and it made his mind terrified just by imagining it.“What?” Delta Dimitry asks casually, expecting a normal conversation with his fellow Delta.Delta Sevy starts fidgeting. It shows obvious signs that it's an uncomfortable topic.“Hey, what is it? Is something bothering you?” Delta Dimitry questioned with more gravitas in his tone. Delta Sevy breathes out heavily, “I’ve been thinking…" He giggled awkwardly. "That... That... There's a possibility that we’ve been possessed without us knowing, and… it's us who killed those Omegas?” Delta Sevy remarks. His hands trembling in

Alpha Qillalon stared intensely at the witch. His face was unreadable, “He… My father… told me about the Blood Oath…” He paused and let his words sink in. Gertrude's movements were put to a halt. The coldness in the Alpha's tone didn’t go unnoticed. She narrowed her gaze but stayed silent.“... Is there a way to break it…” He added that he would rather take rejection and the possibility of death than a forced bond with his fated mate.Gertrude frowned and moved away from the Alpha. She fixed her gaze on the heavy rain now–no more than a sprinkle. She wished something could be done. She sighs deeply. “I’m afraid there’s no way to do that.” He grunted. The urge to look for

CONCURRENTLY…In the distant town of Cordova. The room was cloaked in an unnatural stillness, the kind that pressed against the skin and whispered in the back of the mind. Robert stirred first, his head pounding as if his skull had been used as a drum. He groaned, blinking against the faint moonlight filtering through the curtains. Beside him, his wife, Helena, shifted under the covers, her breathing shallow and uneven.Something was wrong.Robert sat up abruptly, the motion sending a wave of nausea crashing over him. He reached the abandoned building. The place was hidden by tall trees and grass. The structure was barely standing, its walls weathered and tilted, vines creeping over the edges like fingers of time reclaiming its prize. The vicinity was quiet, except for the crunch of leaves beneath his boots. His sharp gaze swept the path ahead, scanning for any sign of movement. He was close—he could feel it. The faintest scent lingered in the air, one that tugged at his memory, though something about it was... wrong. As he turned to the corner, he stopped in his tracks. Alpha Zane hurriedly returned to his room. The heavy oak door groaned as Alpha Zane pushed it open, stepping into the dimly lit chamber. The familiar space, lined with towering bookshelves and a crackling fireplace, felt suffocating now. He let the door fall shut behind him, the sound echoing like a final verdict.~Vesper Miles is alive and Qillalon is looking for her.~Elder Mauritius’ words still lingered in his mind. He moved to the center of the room and stood still, his broad shoulders slumping ever so slightly. His eyes were distant, unfocused, as though seeing something far beyond the room’s walls. The flickering light of the fire danced across his face, casting sharp shadows that mirrored the storm raging within him.He could still remember Elder Mauritius explaining how Vesper survived the attack."She should be dead… if she’s a wolf, but she’s not.”“What do you mean?” He asks in confusion. “She’s a vampire, Zane. That’s why she survived.” The Elder explains.Presently... H

All curtains and windows are shut. The flicker of firelight danced across the walls of the modest room, casting long shadows that seemed to breathe with the tension in the air. Alpha Qillalon sat on the edge of the bed, his piercing eyes fixed on Vesper, who sat across from him, wrapped in a blanket that seemed far too large for her now. The weight of the conversation lingered between them, heavy and unyielding.“You should come back with me to the Manor,” Alpha Qillalon requested, his tone steady but edged with urgency. “The Omegas deserve to know you’re alive. I deserve to have you there,” he reasoned. Vesper’s gaze dropped to her hands, which fidgeted nervously in her lap. The firelight caught the silver of her earrings—the only part of her that hadn’t changed. She said nothing, her silence filling the room with a tension that Alpha Qillalon felt deep in his chest. He took a deep breath and continued, his voice softer. “I’ve learned a lot while you were gone, Vesper. Several more years had passed in the hidden sanctuary where Vesper and Qillalon lived, far from the prying eyes of the world. Though he had grown frail, his spirit remained strong, and his love for Vesper never wavered.Vesper, having regained her strength, devoted herself entirely to Qillalon. She hunted food for him when his body grew too weak, shared stories of their past battles, and held his hand as they watched the moon rise together.“Don’t I sicken you? I’m an old man now… You’re kissing an old man.” He said playfully, but Vesper understood the pain in his words. She shook her head, “I would never feel that way.
