Chapter 74

Casey left the balcony in a rush and nearly collided into Nora who was hurrying out of her work area to check what was going on. Augustus still remained where he was, swiftly disconnecting the wires.

"Your husband is back," Casey informed, his voice filled with panic. "What do we do?"

Even with all the rush, Nora stopped and turned to face Casey. "He is not my husband. Wait here with Gus, I'll be back soon. Do not move away from this room."

Casey nodded his head and entered the large office where Augustus disconnected the wires. Nora shut the door and when a click was heard, he knew she'd locked the door from outside.

"I need to be quick with this. I still have seven left to disconnect," Augustus muttered and wiped a bead of sweat growing on his forehead.

"Why is it taking this long?" Casey asked as he moved closer to where Augustus worked, peering over the man's broad shoulders to see what he was doing.
