For the past one hour, Alma's eyes did not leave the strange man who brought her friend in and took it upon himself to take care of her friend. He was quite a catch. Breathtakingly handsome, tall and lithe-bodied and she wondered how her friend had met the man. That wasn't important the previous hour when the stranger had swerved carelessly into the little parking lot reserved for tenants and opened the cranky door of Anna's car door to reveal a still body.

Alma had let out a shriek, causing the strange man to wince like a large horn had been brought close to his ear. Alma didn't notice, all she was worried about was her friend lying unconscious inside the car.

Lucian had to calm her down and let him carry her friend up the stairs because this woman was going berserk and he didn't have the time or strength for her craziness.
