Chapter 145

"Ryan sent me an email. Read out its content, ALEXXIS."

ALEXXIS did.

It was an apology email. Ryan had stated in it that he was really sorry about how he had behaved back at the pub that day and how he was ready to settle his scores with Kevin. He still wanted to work with him and he hoped Kevin would accept his apology.

"Did he attach any cheque to the mail?"

"No, boss." ALEXXIS replied. "No chaque was attached to this mail."

"Any form of gift?"

"Negative."

Better.

If Ryan had done that, that would have been the end of any partnership he was thinking they'd have. Kevin loathed the idea of adding material things to the apology. It felt like whoever was apologizing was buying his forgiveness and his forgiveness was not to be bought. He forgave anyone willingly, not with a price.

"A positive reply. Tell him we have a meeting scheduled by seven tomorrow evening. We have things to talk about."
