“You got angry and ordered the dungeon guards to throw me into the dungeon and lock me up for the night . So I quickly thought of a plan to escape and that security guard was of good use to me. He helped me escape that morning. I knew after escaping the same day I was to be released, it would cause tension in the palace and you would embark on a quest in finding me yourself. So I made it easier by giving that security my location so you would come there in search of me. I lured you and Laura into a trap.”

“But why?” Asked Laura.

“Let him finish, Laura,” I ordered. “Continue, Rhett.”

“I also paid the security guard to tell you that I would find a new place and that I would become a lone wolf. I knew I had to message you emotionally through the security guard, because it was the only thing that I knew would work. I partnered with the werewolf hunter, and we made a deal to kill the both of you,” he continued. “I planned all of this for the betterment of our kind, and I’m sorry t
