MILA

Mila was now sure that Arthur was okay, at least for now. She had willed David Keplins to ensure Arthur’s safety. And David Keplins had obliged. Forced to act on her behalf, David Keplins had hit Motif Rivera on the back of his head rendering him unconscious.

She heaved a sigh and turned, but only to find Raul Collins’s unconscious form on the ground.

She rushed forward to check on him, but the way the guard cringed away from her, she stopped dead in her tracks. She knew he was right in doing so. After all, it was Mila who had drained the life out of Raul Collins body.

“I did not wish to do this,” Mila spoke softly as she stared at Raul Collins pale face. “Is he alive?” she asked the guard.

The guard placed his two fingers on Raul Collins neck and felt his pulse. The guard nodded and spoke softly, “but only barely.”

“That is enough, I guess,” Mila sighed and she stood up and slashed the air with her hand, opening a portal right next to the wisdom tree.
