CHAPTER 136

MILA

Mila arrived in Arthur’s chambers and was shocked to see the haphazard state it was in. Someone had searched it thoroughly, but for what? What exactly they were looking for?

She heard a lot of commotion outside, and given she did not want any distractions, or waste even an ounce of her magic on any other thing, she made herself invisible. Slowly she crept out of Arthur’s chambers and tried to establish a link with Arthur. But she could not.

“Let me,” Grace spoke and Mila stepped back in Arthur’s chambers and let Grace take charge.

Mila transformed in Grace but the mirror in Arthur’s room said the enchantment of invisibility was lifted. Grace was visible.

“I don’t think my magic will hold with you,” Mila muttered to Grace in her head.

Grace nodded and sniffed the air. As she inhaled deeply, she knew where Arthur was, at least the direction.

Mila took back her body, got dressed and spoke, “Thanks Grace, that is a start, at least.” And turning her invisible again, she rushed
