The Chain Reaction

In the Hermit Pack, things were as dreadful as usual there. As Aaron and Lissa had reported to Jengo, everything may as well be dead in that pack. From people to the environment, there was nothing that was pleasing to the eyes. The people especially… as hungry children fed on whatever scraps they could find in and out of the pack, with the mothers doing what they could to nurse their pups. As for the fathers… They weren’t having any luck with hunts these days to provide for their family. It was not that they couldn’t find any good prey to hunt lately, as it was more that they were far too tired to get any hunt. All because of the ‘training’ Maddie had them go through. Because of the endless workouts she put them through, all the youngsters and adults grew way past exhausted to do anything. Not for themselves or for their loved ones. Even the trainers were being pushed way past their limit for this.
